(the yellow sign)

Why would someone want to buy someone else's diabetic meds? Seems scammy to me.

I suspect that they are looking to buy testing strips, glucose monitors, etc., rather than medications. After someone with diabeetus cashes in their chips, often there is a lot of this stuff lying around, and they probably want to buy the no longer needed supplies on the cheap, then re-sell. Unfortunately, there are also people with the 'beetus who don't take care of themselves and sell the supplies their insurance (or Medicaid) pays for rather than using them.

I'm sure black market insulin and above all the GLP-1 meds have resale value, but selling pharmaceuticals without a license is extremely illegal

It's a trap

When you meet to give them the supplies they drug you and send you to work in sweatshops in South America

I assumed the products were sugary items that cause diabetes.

My guess is there is a gubmint angle here too, where these resellers are gouging medicare with an inflated price for items they bought for pennies on the dollar. Although, I would also assume Medicare has price caps on some of this? Honestly, I don't know a lot about it.

The thing just seemed strange to me. It's like those "Ug buys Ugly Houses" signs but with dibeetus stuff.

You are gonna need a place to store all your second-hand Brimley supplies. Might as well be in an ugly house.

Because you didn't give me the 20 percent finder's fee for that bus full of retirees heading to the casino in Eagle Pass that we agreed to

I mean, because it's the right thing to do

Likely Medicare fraud as mentioned earlier. My aunt has been in and out of hospitals and physical therapy and they think if anything and everything they can bill to Medicare and send her home with so much stuff everytime. Even her medicare advantage plan keeps trying to send a free in home health exam to her where I am sure they will figure out more stuff they can bill to Medicare.

So I've got some left over Wegovy (I didn't like it) that my insurance paid for. Are you saying there's a market for it?

There is no legal market for it; medications that have been dispensed cannot be resold or transferred to another person (partly due to tampering concerns after the Tylenol murders in the 1980s).

I highly doubt that any legit medical supply company that would be seeking to bill Medicare is advertising on a telephone pole. As suggested by others, it's likely the other way around. Medicare/Medicaid have probably paid for these supplies already and they are looking for people (the intended end user) who want to sell them for cash, either because the patient got dead or got cured of the 'beetus or wants cash more than they want to take care of their health.
