Go to an upscale grocery store and buy one of the snobby, small batch ice cream/Gelato brands. Yea you'll pay $10 for a pint and it's a hundred calories a bite, but the ingredients are so much better quality, which shows up in the taste.

The creamery in Llano has some great stuff...its sourced out of some place in Fredericksburg so if you're ever there, happy hunting!

I'm pretty sure you can use any kind of salt, I've even used pool salt before, it is just to make the ice colder, it doesn't go in the ice cream.

I never had Tillamook in my life until a few months ago. I was out of state and wanted some ice cream. I loved it. When we got back we found out it is available here too.

I love ice cream. If I could get away with it, I'd just live on ice cream. As an old, I might give it a try. I used to be on the Blue Bell train, but then I found Tillamook, and most recently HEB Creamy Creations. And most recently, It's Fate Creamery. Damn good!

For those advocating for Bluebell protein pints… please note they have 18 g of sugar alcohols and 71% dv of your fiber per pint (at least for the chocolate). Be careful to not poop your pants after indulging. That combo seems dangerous.

Bought a couple boxes of HCF ice cream bars. Fudge bars and vanilla dipped in chocolate. Pretty solid for $.25 a bar.
