Very strong. Sitting at 100% on RT.

Looks like Pixar's batting average will remain perfect.

This movie will blow our minds. One of those critics said it was the best Toy Story yet.

Funnier and more poignant than the previous two Toy Story installments. Up there with WALL-E and Ratatouille as one of Pixar's best-realized films.
--
Toy Story 3 is an overwhelming success, rounding out what might just be the best film trilogy ever made.
--
I walked out of Toy Story 3 feeling as if my heart was too full. Pixar has already given us two utterly perfect Toy Story movies, yet this may be the best one yet.
--
Even with the bar raised high, Toy Story 3 enchanted and moved me so deeply I was flabbergasted that a digitally animated comedy about plastic playthings could have this effect.
--
That rare sequel that lives up to and even surpasses its progenitors...a pure winner, with more suspense and laughs (and tears) than any live-action film so far this year.
--
As usual, the toy-box gang is filled with complex characters with flaws and virtues. The 3-D sequel's just as strong as the 2-D classics that came before it.

GTFO my way little kids, been waiting 11 years for this.

Toy Story is one of my favorite movies of all time...and I am an old man (41).

When my wife and I went to Walt Disney World last year we waited in line to get our pictures taken with Buzz and Woody...and she uttered this now classic line....

"You don't like Buzz and Woody, you just like what their names represent....."

The photographer laughed and said "Ma'am, this is a family park...."

I cant wait for this weekend!!!

Ive said it before but Pixar is the minority in Hollywood. They do what they want, make tons of $$ and some how put out an amazing product without compromising their standards or vision.

I am SOOOOOOO pumped for this movie.

I cant remember a film that hit me emotionally in the first 10 minutes as Up did. I mean wow.

As long as Pixar is around there will be quality movies for both young and old. Ever since ticket prices went up and I bought my first HD TV it hasnt been worth it to drop $10 on a movie but for Pixar I'd pay double.

Im a big fan of dick and fart humor but I'll take Toy Story any day of the week.

I hope they dont stop at 3

We're taking our boys Saturday, already have tickets.

I hadn't seen a kids movie since I was a kid in the early 80's. I have been shocked by the quality of what Pixar and Dreamworks puts out. Wall-E, Toy Story, Cars, Madagascar, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Rataoullie (sp) are all excellent films. The Pixar shorts on Disney channel are also great if you can catch them.

I've been looking forward to taking my 3-1/2 year old daughter to TS3 ever since we walked out of the theater in October after watching TS2. Movies are a rare treat with a 3 year old and a 7 month old. On the rare occasion that I can actually take my oldest one to the movie, I'm all over it. The first 2 Toy Stories seem to have been playing on a loop in our house and car for the last 2 months, but they still haven't worn on me yet. Really excited about this one.

it was incredible. Just as good, if not better than the first two. It's perfect for all ages, but i think it definitely caters to the generation that was kids during the first two. Hilarious and heartwarming, some of the ending scenes had me choked up. Great movie

111 reviews and still 100% on RT. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
"Up" came damn close...255 reviews, only 5 negative.

Interestingly enough, there are at least 100 movies that have received 100% rankings (most of them old though) and Toy Story 2 tops the list by virtue of having the most reviews posted.

I'm interested in hearing opinions on 3D. We saw up in 3D and I didn't think it was worth the extra money. Seems like it might be for Toy Story 3 if there's more stuff like the roller coaster from the trailer.

I read somewhere that the 3D is not really worth it TS3.

this seems like a good place to put this. it's a mix of toy story clips and a few added cymbals and a little bass.

Random question about Rotten Tomatoes site. Can't anyone just go on that site and make a bad review and ruin the perfect rating on all of those movies? I really have no idea how that site works so I'm just curious.

They are all critics deemed reasonable for posting by RT. So you could not post a negative review, because you aren't on the list. The "Top Critics" are actually legit critics at about 30 major publications, so that rating is generally a little more legit.

They take user ratings as well, they just arent splashed on the front page. Each movie has a "community rating" which is just whoever the hell felt like giving it a grade.

There are separate sections. Normal user reviews, pre-selected critics in the media (the default rating you see and is typically discussed), and "top rated" critics reviews (think Ebert and such). The user reviews aren't 100% for TS3.

A lone newspaper out there that is in their pool can ruin a 100%...although I think they round to the nearest digit, so it may take more than 1.

One thing that makes Pixar so far and away superior to it's competitors (Dreamworks and Sony) is that, to Pixar story is first. They make movies based on good stories, and not what will sell toys.

Think about it: you would think merchandising should be priority #1 for children's cartoons. What toys can you make of the characters? Will they look good on a bedsheet? How can we incorporate the characters into a theme park attraction/parade?

To Pixar, this is not important. The story comes first. Which is very surprising considering they are owned by Disney (who slaps their characters onto EVERYTHING). While Toy Story and Cars are merchandiser's DREAMS, other Pixar movies have almost zero merchandising avenues. How many Ratatouille toys did you see? Very, very little. Up playsets? Zero. The Incredibles? Some, but not much. And all three of these won Best Animated Picture.

We are in the midst of one of the greatest runs in motion picture history by a single company. One that doesn't look to be ending soon.

Pixar is amazing. I thought their streak of great movies was going to end with TS3, but looks like I am wrong.

We already have a baby sitter lined up next week for our youngest, so that the wife and I can take our 3 yr. old to see it - we had to because we were arguing over who gets to see it (as opposed to who HAS to see it). We're excited.

Pixar's story-first commitment is truly amazing. I also love their commitment to getting the RIGHT voice for a character, not necessarily a FAMOUS voice. So many other animated movies look to capitalize on a big star like Angelina Jolie, or Catherine Zeta Jones, forgetting that you need someone with charisma in their VOICE.

Think about the dad in Finding Nemo, or Craig T Nelson in the Incredibles - PERFECT casting but not the most famous people on the planet..but perfect for those voices. Some of the voices have been famous actors, but they are typically famous CHARACTER actors, like Tom Hanks or Billy Crystal.

I cannot cannot wait for this movie. I love Toy Story 2 so much. One of my favorite memories was of my then ~3 year old nephew literally falling off his dad's lap laughing to "I guess that's why they call me Stinky Pete."

My 3 year old daughters have recently been watching the first two movies. We're looking forward to this being their first movie theater experience. I hope it goes well.

A couple weeks ago, I was correcting one of my daughters for doing something wrong and she was having a hard time taking it. In a fit of rage, she finally shouted to me "You're Stinky Pete and I'M OUTTA HERE!!"

I laughed and laughed and laughed. Took me a while to realize she was putting a couple of lines from TS2 together. But now that line is standard at our house if we get upset about something.

Perhaps that's because they're not in Hollywood.

They're in Emeryville, CA, which is nestled next to Oakland.

Saw it in IMAX 3D last night.

Very highly recommended.
