Dr. Not Yet Dr. Ag
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It happened 3-4 months ago, and he nearly killed the man he considered a friend because of the belief that he held that Huell had lifted the cigarette off him. I remember major fights I've had with exes from years past, it's really not a stretch at all.

Jesse was bound to find out about Brock. I think they tied it together pretty good.

they didn't have to do it like that other than to make it a great episode ending tense scene.

He should have started speculating after he went with the "like you killed Mike!" scene in the desert. He could have continued on a string of consciousness like "who else did you kill?!" rant, and then blurted Brock's name, seen Walt's face, and that would have been way more tense of a scene if he were to still have left the situation and "agreed" to go along with the identity trade in, but then go and do the same ending.

IMO, it was a waste to ruin the "lightbulb" scene of Brock and not have Walter on camera facing Jesse. That would be way more tense

Actually, just writing my scenario out I like it better already.

I'm also not getting where ricin comes in with Brock. I thought they confirmed it was the lily of the valley plant?

It was, but Walt made it appear that Gus had his guy steal the ricin from him initially, after Jessie had almost killed him.

I think Walt finishes the job with Jesse next week or Jesse lives and spills all to Hank.

They have to build up the showdown between Walt and Jesse. If they did it in the desert I think Jesse would be dead already.

I actually believe Walt hauls ass out of New Mexico soon.

Had they left that storyline with "he lost it" then I think it woulda been fine. But they had a whole series of episodes of when he found it in the Roomba and "that explained it".

I don't think it's a stretch for him to connect that Huell stole the cigarette if he never found it... but he's actually making a connection that Huell stole the cigarette AND Walt created a fake ricin cigarette for him to find.

Not a huge stretch since he is starting to question every single motive Walt has ever had, but still a little thin IMO. Would have preferred a better "oh ****" moment.

Walt used the ricin situation to convince Jesse that Gus was the one who poisoned Brock, and that's how Jesse came to the decision to kill Gus. Jesse just realized just the full extent to which he was played by Walt.

If you really can't appreciate just how well the writers tied everything together in this episode, I'm sorry, but you're clueless.

It helped get Jesse back in Walts corner instead of Gus and bing afraid of Gus.

I mean, I like it... the storyline just isn't as deep as the Big Bang Theory.

I'm racking my brain here- I think we're all missing something with the lapse in episodes. I'll have to watch End Times in S4 again- I don't even remember the zoomba.

FYI- Aaron Paul is taking phone numbers on twitter and calling people to explain.

Yeah, and Walt was the one who "found" it. Maybe they could've done a better job of having Jessie being initially skeptical of the "find", but I don't have a problem whatsoever with this.

That may be the most intense hour of television I've ever seen.

Thought it was connected fine... They stole his weed, so when he couldn't find it, he realized they Saul had lifted it. Then he took out cigarettes and realized the same thing had happend months before.

actually, no.

It's ok to be the least bit critical of the writing in this fantastic series. Seriously, it's ok.

That was a case of trying to be too cute, IMO. Jesse, so unstable at this point, would not have immediately pieced everything together so easily and quickly after realizing his weed was gone. It just wouldn't have happened.

But by all means, please continue to tell me why I'm clueless and don't understand why that's the greatest writing in the history of television.

exactly. It would have fit more to the character if Jesse was just running his mouth on a rant at Walter about who all he has "killed" after he brought the Mike thing to the surface, and then almost said the Brock thing half-assed, but noticed a certain reaction by Walter to give him the lighbulb. That would have played better to Jesse's character IMO.

And that also wouldn't mean Walt would have immediately have killed Jesse. Not right there in front of Saul and without a plan.

I think some of you all felt that because you couldn't piece it together immediately, there is no way Jessie could.

Haha holy ****, haven't thought about MaroonOut05 since the good old days when A&M was good at basketball. A&M could have lost by 40 points and he'd call you out for being the sh/ttiest Ag in history if you were disgruntled by it.

GFY... and go back to the sports boards and tell everybody how bad of an Aggie they are because they strive to win and not be mediocre.

everyone who has followed the series knew exactly what was happening as Jessie started scrambling for his weed. No one was fooled by what was happening.

look, i love this show more than or as much as anyone and tonights show was excellent.

that said, i think realistically...it WAS a bit of a stretch for Jesse to tie all that together. dude is not even thinking straight on top of that.

its not a big deal, but it was a bit of a stretch.

sorry if you didn't. But that was painfully obvious. Especially when 30 seconds prior Huell made the most obvious pickpocket in television history on Jessie.
