that said, i think realistically...it WAS a bit of a stretch for Jesse to tie all that together. dude is not even thinking straight on top of that.

He's not thinking straight because he's (1) questioning Walt's motivations, and (2) contemplating his prior sins. It's seriously not a stretch to think those two fixations would come together. It actually makes perfect sense considering how they've built his character this season.

The house wasn't all burned up in the flash forward was it?

I was one of the ones who explained what had happened to the one person who was confused, here...but yeah, you're awesome for figuring it out.

Again. I love the show. That episode was fantastic. But it is literally ok to question some of the writing. Especially at the end of a series when stretches happen to get the story done. I just happen to think we could have had the same reveal, in a more tense situation, within the same episode. We didn't need that to happen the way it did.

But it's still awesome, the best thing on TV right now, and I'm still gonna love it. I can't wait to see what happens next. So it's ok to discuss the show outside of "holy ****, best ever. that was the greatest thing in the world. it was perfect!" etc. etc.

Of course it's ok. But don't reserve the right to criticize and then cry when others criticize your opinion.

I'm not the one calling anyone clueless or a moron or anything...but the second he started searching for the weed, one scene after it got ganked off him by Huell, the path it was leading to was set in stone.

If you didn't see it coming, then fine. Maybe many who didn't see it coming have caught up with the series in the last year or so, but that scenario (Jessie finding out) has been discussed so much, especially on these boards, so you knew it was coming as he was searching and then stared at the pack of cigs

Huel took ricin cig from Jesse when he patted him down before entering Saul office.

who is crying? You're the one calling people clueless trying to make sure you feel justified in your untouchable review of the show.

as for speculation about next week, I have no idea what to expect. I don't want previews or anything so I dunno what or if they showed anything.

Part of me hopes Walt Jr is in the house and he/Jessie have a standoff of some sort before Walt gets home.

Maybe Walt Jr witnesses Walt murdering Jessie

Was thinking this to myself as well when I saw Jesse with the gas can. From what I can remember the outside didn't look burned at all, and it was too dark to tell if the inside was. But you'd figure if the inside was burnt to a crisp, the outside would be too.

I haven't watched that episode with the ricin cig since it came out and haven't been on this board until recently. If I can understand the significance of Jesse pulling cigarettes instead of weed out of his pocket, why would I assume Jesse (who in this fictional world is actually emotionally involved with this and currently questioning Walt's motives) wouldn't be able to figure it out immediately, especially when what he pulls out are cigarettes of all things.

I don't think Walt Jr's car was in the driveway. I think Walt Jr comes home to a house while Jessie is there, Jessie's leaves, Walt gets home and now Walt Jr gets the truth.

Walt kills Jesse before he has a chance to light the house on fire.

The fact that the future house isn't bured is very telling. I'm thinking Jesse trashes the rest of the house, paints Heisenberg on the wall, and then Walt gets there and stops him before he can burn the house. Probably (but hopefully not) by shooting him.

Jessie ain't done yet.

I'm thinking someone walks in before Jesse lights the gasoline. Walt Jr. seems like the likely person. Seeing Walt Jr. would probably make Jesse feel like sh*t and leave.

Does anyone else think it was weird that Todd was telling the train heist story so openly in the diner and using everyone's real names??

Exactly. It's hilarious how people are saying that, though the connection was obvious to "fans" of the show, that it was a "stretch" for the character to reach the same conclusion. And yes, obviously the audience has a broader information base, but Jesse is also extremely paranoid, and this wasn't exactly the first time he's jumped to a conclusion...hell, he's jumped to this EXACT conclusion before and was convinced otherwise. It call it a "stretch" is just a veiled way of saying "I didn't like it." Which is fine, but it was by no means a "stretch."

After having watched the entire episode, that whole scene with Todd and his Uncle seems incredibly irrelevant. Didn't come into play at all during the rest of the episode.

which means it will most definitely come into play

I'm sure it wasn't irrelevant. Neither was the bloody paper towel. At this point, everything is relevant. Of course it pales in comparison to everything else that happened. But it wasn't insignificant.
bilbobag

I think the scene with Todd was confirmation that they have the tank of methyl amine and Todd is going to cook.

I thought the blood on his shoe being wiped off and being flushed down the toilet was more significant but as to what, I have no idea.

I think the blood on the paper towel scene was only to show how casual they were to the whole thing...although I've been wrong before about this show.

who else thinks a really cool ending to the entire series would be The Russian from the Pine Barrens episode of Sopranos shows up, wipes out all the key players of the show and takes over the entire drug operation of the SW. (reprising his role as the Russian and shockingly connecting the 2 greatest dramas ever made...Sopranos and BB).

I should clarify. I was saying that the scene was completely irrelevant in the context of this episode, which surprised me. I have no doubt that it'll come into play big time later.
