Thought the Huell angle was very weak.

Rest of the episode was spectacular.

Though not sure I like the ending... If Hank and Gomez live through that then it's pretty weak, if they don't live through that I don't like it being extended to another episode -- woulda had more impact it happening there.

Couldn't agree more..

I think Walt is going after Todd and his peeps in the last episode to get his money back.

A bit too many bullets with no blood....but holy s!!!

I thought this season had moved pretty slowly up to this point...kind of like a roller coaster making its way to the top...click, clack,click,clack...and then that moment when you know you're at the top and its just a pure andrenaline rush from here on out.


I like the thought that the bad guys take Walt and Jesse. Maybe Walt gets away and somehow comes back with the big gun to free Jesse from those guys.

While I would typically side with the "you don't kill cops if you don't have to" angle of just taking Walt and Jessie, Hank and Gomez have seen their faces -- no way they would let them walk away from that.

yup. that much was blatantly obvious.

Don't like how it ended though. WAY too much firepower from the nazi's to not have hit Gomey or Hank once. And if they are already hit then it's just a dumb way to end this ep.

But still intense.

Yeah...how many shells were in Gomey's shotgun and how many rounds in Hank's pistol?

Don't exactly love the way the last 2 eps have been handled even though I've been on the edge of my seat during them...but if they set the last 3 up for a crazy ride for the ages then it'll all be fine.

Everything about that final scene indicates Hank doesn't make it out. The final goodbye, finally getting his prize, the tragedy of the situation. My thinking is they hold Jesse for ransom in order to get Walt to cook, considering that Walt said that Jesse was family to them. Something happens, however, and Jesse is killed, but Walt goes on the run waiting for his revenge. This is going down pretty much as I thought it would. Minus some major details, like Walt being dumb enough to lead them to his money.

well if that's the case, it's equally lame because hank and Gomey are dead to rights in that scenario, so if they escape that kind of firepower I wouldn't exactly be a fan.

Well there is no way Hank and Gomez both make it out. The show would lose some of luster.

Or maybe Jesse spills the beans about the money, so they threaten to kill Jesse if Walt doesn't give them the location of the cash, so he does it, and they kill Jesse anyways...regardless, Jesse dies.

Agreed. If Hank was going to die in the shootout, it was going to be at the end of that episode -- there would be no reason to drag it out to next week.

Not saying Hank definitely lives, but he ain't dying in that shootout IMO.

Anyone else love the steadicam shot following WALT speeding down the bridge and running those red lights, voiceover on the phone. Great shot

yep. that cliffhanger was f'ng terrible.

I just don't buy that Huell would have cracked because of a cell phone picture. I like the endpoint of how they took it of tricking Walt into thinking Jesse had his money, but I don't like how they got there.

what is the deal with people confusing hank and walt on this thread? it happens constantly.

Dammit

I had so much hope for these final 8 episodes but the way the writers have sequenced the episode endings makes it seem that there aren't any more big "twists" left. The major twist of this season is hank figuring Walts identity out while in the toilet. Kind of a let down IMO for a series to end.

I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt, but I just don't see how they can write their way out of that cliffhanger. Hank and Gomez have to die, so why not just have it happen there?
