I'm not sure, I think Texags allows you to check previous thread pages, so I'm sure you can check.

effective range of an AA-12 firing slugs is 100 m

Not sure if this is directed at my comment. If so, I know slugs can be quite accurate in all kinds of shotguns. I never said they couldn't be. Follow up shots in a firefight is where the effective range is diminshed.

it wasn't

i just went to wiki and saw the effective range (and i was somewhat surprised it was so large)

you're right that Devil is going to be inaccurate as hell with that thing after the first shot

This may have been addressed already, but when reading through page 126.....missing on purpose is a pretty terrible plan when the other guys are shooting back at you. No way they intentionally missed.

the fact you guys are discussing the kill range of a Saiga Shotgun, pistols, etc crack me up. There is without a shadow of a doubt that Gomez and Hank will be dead come the next episode.

It was drawn out, sure- but for intensity purposes. Also surprised this hasn't been posted yet either...

I'm not saying it is a good plan.

I would find it harder to believe that gomey and hank haven't been hit yet.

Especially when the first shot is from a guy who takes his time in getting a good sight picture for his first shot.

And I don't know why some of y'all think Todd's family can't shoot because they are rednecks. You must not see many rednecks handle guns.

Some of y'all are over-thinking this. BB has had lots of "eyeroll" moments in its history.

So, Walt finally busts Hank. I'm glad he had his moment with Skyler there at the end on the phone. Gus might be safe in Hank's car, but that depends on if Tuco is able to reach him before he speeds away. By the way, I think Tuco was shot at one point? Anyhow, I hope the cartel doesn't kill everyone and leaves a lot of evidence behind, or else the Nazi's might catch wind of it, and you'd have a full brown drug war going on, which is a lot to fit in just a few remaining episodes.

I don't think the show the conclusion of the fire fight but I think willem dafoe comes in next episode and explains everything.

Assuming Hank dies in the desert, how does Marie react? She has wanted Hank to get the DEA involved the whole time. She hasn't spilled everything because of Hank's job and protection of Holly and Jr.

Hank's death should push her off the deep end. Does she go after Walt/Skyler? Does she spill everything to the DEA/police?

Little pissed that I bought seasons 1-4 on dvd last summer when we didn't have internet at the house, not only because they're all available on Netflix now, but because I want the full blu-ray collection when it comes out.

Screw it, I'll probably get it anyway.

Hmmm, I wonder if that video Walt made comes back into play if Hank and Gomie die... those guys are "off the reservation" right now and getting killed out in the desert.

If the DEA got that Video, that could help explain how Walt was in "New Hampshire" in witness protection program... to save him from the Nazis.

I've been telling my wife for 2 or 3 years that when BB is finally over, I want the box set.

BUT $225 DOLLARS!!???!!! Are you freakin kidding me? There had better be real crystal meth samples and 1 free get out of jail free card signed by Saul Goodman himself in there if they expect me to pay $225.

Every time I see Todd's crew referred to as "the Nazis", I picture this:

Hanks ego has gotten him killed. He did this same thing before when he picked that bar fight with no backup and no gun.

He hadn't told the dea because he is going down either way, like his old boss did. He has no leg to stand on, nor has he obtained anything legally starting with the Walt Whitman book. Its all about ego for him now. He waived at Walt like he pretended Popeye Doyle, but that was premature. Hank imo goes down.

My theory about the bad shooting of Todd is that it shows his reluctance to disobey Walt, but at the same time appease his uncle. So, he shoots (and has an empty magazine to prove it), but he's at the back of the group and is shooting lazily. He serves 2 masters.

That's a good point actually. I hadn't thought about that.

Don't forget that, among other things, this is a show in which a character died by having half his face blown off before calming walking out of a room and adjusting his tie. The writers are not above any sort of implausibility.

Extremely plausible scenario IMO.

Has anyone commented during Season 5 about how Brock keeps giving Walt the evil eye, as if he knows that Walt is the one who poisoned him?

I don't think witness protection explains NH. There was a time when it might, but yesterday's episode made it clear how low Walt thinks of "rats" who flip. When he was talking to Jack about killing Jesse, even then he was adamant Jesse wasn't a rat; then calling Jesse a coward in the desert.

Plus, the confession video seems to have been made only in an attempt to make Hank stop coming for him. In his call to Jack to stop the guns, he looks like he's crying. I think at that point Walt trumped Heisenberg and he was going to really turn himself in to Hank to stop it all in an effort to save Hank's life.

Yeah, it seems NH is going to be a relocation from Saul's vacuum guy.

I'm still of the opinion that Walt wont go the NH route unless Jr. is out of the picture. His hubris wont allow him to admit to Jr that they have to assume new identities and all that goes with that (or even a credible cover story)because he'll always think he can come up with better plan.

The flash forward makes us all come up with theories about what he's doing from that point forward (the M60, the ricin, Heisenberg on his wall), but just as interesting (to me at least) is how crappy things have to get for him to be headed to NH. Could be that by that point everything he cares about is gone, and by his 52nd he realizes he has beaten cancer again (which should be good news, but for him it's not, just like it wasn't when he beat the towel dispenser in the bathroom) and goes the suicide route - Tony Montana blaze of glory with the M60
with the ricin beforehand as a backup.

So I'm thinking of avoiding everything BB for the next 2 weeks and watching the last 3 episodes back to back to back.

Good idea or unnecessary self-punishment?

nougat - if you can do it, I think it's great. I watched the first 4 seasons on Netflix and there are lots of advantages to seeing the episodes close together.

I'm probably going to do the same with the last 2 episodes because i'm travelling the sunday of the second to last one.

Totally off-the-wall theory about the ricin: what if it is for Walt's children? I don't know what reason he would have to poison them (Marie has custody? Walt Jr. hates his dad? They are prisoners of the Nazis and he wants to put them out of their misery?), but if he did, that would be the point where he truly breaks 100% bad.

I still think Walt goes out (or tries to) in a blaze of glory with the M60 a la Scarface.

It's possible that the phone call wasn't recorded or even tracked. They could have planted a GPS on Walt's car. Seems more plausible actually than quickly getting the tracking from the cell in real time without a lot of official DEA approval.

This is quickly becoming the most over analyzed shooting since the Zapruder film.

And just how did Walt poison Brock? Walk up and give him candy/cookie or something? Surely Walt didn't do that himself.

Did anyone notice when Walt was sitting in the suburban the way the shadow hit his head made it look like he was wearing his Heisenberg hat?
