Probably the most obvious conclusion, but it was obvious for a reason. Was the right ending.

It tied up everything better than any show I've ever encountered. Sort of the anti-Sopranos.

The season- brilliant on every level.

The finale- didn't have the impact for me the rest of the season was building to. Maybe that means I'm bloodthirsty and expected more death. But I defend the controversial Sopranos and Lost finales, and feel somewhat letdown here.

ETA: Jesse, Walt Jr, Skyler, Marie all felt like afterthoughts. This was Walt/Cranston's show. That's always been clear. But I don't think everyone else got as much as they deserved in the final hour.

For a show that rests it laurels on crazy **** that happens, everything that was supposed to happen - happened. Lydia dead. Nazis dead. Todd dead. Walt dead (from the life or cancer).

Nothing shocking for a show that has even shocking for all 5 seasons. It was a safe ending.
