So serious question Ninja, you'd rather the finale be shocking and unpredictable just for the sake of being shocking and unpredictable, rather than answer all questions and sum everything up nicely?

Fantastic ending to the greatest TV drama I've ever seen.

I love this show as much as anyone else, bit the best episode happened two weeks ago. Facts.

Uh, that would be opinion, not facts.

Ya that was the climax... This was the resolution. It's like a good book

I loved it because Walt got to science up another crazy ass invention, and killed all the nazi's with it.

What should have happened that would've been shocking and unpredictable? It was perfect. It was obvious that it was heading towards redemption. Perfect ending, wouldn't have changed a thing

What a great story! This series was awesome!

Redemption on all levels!

I think it was the perfect ending, because it stayed true to the arc of the development of the story and the characters, rather than just go for shocking just so people would be talking about a shocking ending the next day at the water cooler.

Agree with ninja. I think they (the writers/Gilligan) were pretty clear that Ozymandias was the climax and these last 2 were the resolution

The show was best when it was about process. It is a testament to the show and the finale that everything in the end happened as it should and it was still brilliant.

Perfect ending with one last Walt plan that almost went wrong before he pulled it out of his behind.

The only unpredictable moment was how Walt and Grey Matter resolved itself. And the best moment was Badger/Skinny Pete. The rest was predicted on this this thread weeks ago (Ricin for Lydia, assault rifle for Nazis, etc.)

Again, not a bad ending. But not the best. 7/10.

The Marty Robbins song even mentions getting shot in the side, five men wanting to kill him, and dying in Felina's arms.

Look up the lyrics to El Paso, then replace "Felina" with meth...tells Walter's story.

Holy crap a finale that ties up loose ends and doesn't try to be edgy with some bs hipster 2deep4u ending.

Great ride through the years. Ended the only way it could. Belongs on the Mount Rushmore of series imo.

Exactly. A "shocking" story would have defeated the underlying point of the entire series. Anyone who thinks the ending should have been less "logical" completely misses the point.

Emotionally, yes the best episodes have been the previous few weeks, but that was because those episodes featured the collapse of everything. His life, family, etc. This episode was simply the epilogue.

But shocking would have been true to the story. While shocking was jarring and out of place on the Sopranos, it wouldn't have been here. I can't count the number of times this season I've literally found my jaw hanging open. Shocking, explosive, etc would have been in tone here. "Redemption" feels more forced to me.

My God. It's stunning to me how people can watch this show from the beginning and completely miss the point.

Shocking may have been a theme of the show but it didn't follow the story arc

Watch on pay phone explained by Gilligan. Continuity primarily and metaphor for being done with Jesse's gift to him.
