I was assuming that would be due to all the noise. Otherwise it would seem like a pretty risky plan to call the cops and possibly have them get there before or right after you do, not allowing Walt to kill them all. That would leave him stuck with the possibility of the Nazis getting arrested and using their pull to threaten Walt to keep quiet by using his family against him. But I guess either way, it's risky.

I think he figured unloading an M60 ammo can, including tracer rounds, might draw a bit of attention.

Marie said people were calling stuff in around town to create a distraction. We saw Walt pay Pete and Badger to use laser pointers. Is it really too much of a stretch for him to pay them another 5-10k to place a phone call at a certain time?

Also amazed at the people wondering about the ricin/Stevia when he built an oscillating gun rig in a day too.

It could be that he was going to kill the Nazis whether the police showed up before he pulled the trigger or not. If he's inside with the Nazis and the cops show up there will surely be a stand off and Walt will take them out with the cops outside.

Does anyone think Walt was planning to go out with the Nazis before Jesse showed up? Still unsure about that. I don't think so but I think he was prepared to if necessary.

just getting sick of seeing so many online "experts" reviewing the finale talking about how the ending didn't stay true to the rest of BBs themes. another common complaint, "well Walt ended up winning and Gilligan shouldn't have let him win".

why don't you complete the entire quote? the quote meant (and is clear) that I was sick of people trashing the finale based on those complaints. obviously I'm not sick of seeing people review the episode. thats what we are all doing.

I talked my Mom into recording the marathon last week. She just texted me "Whoa s***. Walt let that girl choke to death." I'm jealous of what she has in front of her.

Orlando, I saw someone quote you and replied to that. Had I seen that you'd posted the comment, I wouldn't have made the comment about the sports boards.

I didn't catch it at first, but Walt was in the diner the whole time if you're watching carefully.

I don't see how the longer quote and the explanation excuse what you said. According to you, we are all free to review the episode, unless we have certain complaints.

By the way, here are some more "internet experts" who are unhappy with the ending in varying degrees, for many of the reasons I mentioned:

ok, leme try again.

its tiring to see people b**** and complain about the ending just because it didn't score a 100 for them. there was absolutely no ending they coulda come up with that woulda left every viewer/critic satisfied.

ie.."ya it was a solid ending, but they really shoulda brought some closure to what happens with Brock" OR "for a show that prided itself on apocalyptic themes...i'm not sure why they decided to let Marie live" . people are nitpicking what really amounted to be the best, most realistic, and least jump the sharkish type ending.

Vince Gilligan said that most people, not everyone would be happy with how it ended.
Dr. Not Yet Dr. Ag
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm pretty sure that was not the "most realistic" ending possible. And what I and everyone else has stated about what they wanted in the finale, instead, was all personal preference. I don't care what you or other critics wanted to see, I care what I wanted to see. Was the episode great? ABSOLUTELY....but, IMO, could it have been even better? Without a doubt. Personally, I would like a show about a man that "breaks bad" to end as a true tragedy, is that really that absurd of a wish?

Again, how was that NOT a tragedy?
Dr. Not Yet Dr. Ag
How long do you want to ignore this user?
How was it a tragedy? Walt got essentially everything he wanted. The notoriety, money for his family, saved Jesse, killed the Nazis, dying on his own terms. That is not a tragedy in any sense of the word. A true tragedy doesn't end with you having a warm feeling in your gut.

Hell, I bet if you asked Walt if he would do it over again, he'd probably say "you're godd*mn right"

Impossible to write a finale that will satisfy everyone. I'm convinced some of those *****ing wouldn't be happy with any ending that didn't involve Skyler reaching through their tv and jerking them off while Marie reaches through to finger their ahole and tickle their taint. Then after climax, they each pull out M60's and blow each other away.

Walt offered everything he had to save Hank, and he died while his camily hated him ("you want them to miss you when you're gone" - Walt's words). That is as simple an answer I can give to "he got everything he wanted". This isn't Modern Family where each episode stands on its own.

And those b*tching about the "b*tching" wish we could all form in a circle rub each others cocks affectionately. Get over it, I love your beloved show, as does everyone else who wishes the ending was a little different, we just have differing opinions.

He died having done what he wanted after the events of Granite State. But you think that's how he wanted to go a few episodes ago? Hank dead, Marie widowed, alone and hated by his family, with most of his money gone?

It really was a pretty tragic ending all things considered. As previously mentioned, wait till you watch the whole thing in succession and the tragic nature of the entire story will be more obvious.

Considering you post about how much better The Wire is (on BB threads) every chance you get, you should heed your own advice and get over the fact that not everyone agrees with your opinion. Posting your opinion repeatedly does not make it true.

I do know there's a season that's generally regarded as fairly weak, whereas Breaking Bad does not. So there's that.

I was a big fan of The Wire. The final season needed a significant rewrite.

5th season, and I actually like that season, although there is a storyline that is pretty absurd (and an important storyline to the season). No where near as bad as the klepto Marie storyline, however
