I can't imagine it being used on Skylar as the whole premise was that this was all about Walt's family, but perhaps that will be the whole point, but I don't see Walt turning on his family.

But Mike failed to make the point that these guys can roll on Walt and Jesse.

They can't roll on Walt & Jesse because they don't know who Walt & Jesse are. They know somebody is cooking the meth, but they don't know who, where, how, or when. The only people who've ever met Walt or Jesse...or even heard their names...are dead. Except Mike (and Saul).

Paying off those guys only protects their connection to the chemicals and the distribution network, but that's all. If Walt can find another source for the chemicals and another distribution network, Walt can cut everybody loose, including Mike.

They still need distribution. Badger and Skinny Pete aren't moving 50lbs in a day or two.

Helping his family was never the "premise" of the show or his decision to cook meth. If doing what's best for his family was his focus, he would've just taken Elliott & Gretchen's charity. Or just toed the line and been the perfect employee for Gus and retired from the business after 3 months.

The premise is a good a guy turning into a bad guy. And there's no better illustration of a bad guy than one who kills his family.

If Walt were to go to the extreme of killing Skylar it would have to make sense in his mind that he was doing it for family. Even though he has become a very head strong drug king pin, I believe he still rationalizes it in his mind that it's all for the good of his family.

To that end, I could see him killing Skylar if he thought that it was the only way to keep his children. If she threatened to tell everyone what he had done and to take his kids away from him, he may resort to that.

Cracked up and Jessie and Walts reaction to the lazer tag place! "HELL NO!"

Always pumped to see a another FNL alumn join a great cast.

Skyler is coming unhinged. She is definately going to do something drastic soon.

Loved the scene of Mike chopping up the money.

I hope Skylar and Marie go down together. Maybe a murder-suicide? Nah, that won't happen, but I can still hope can't I?

Most annoying characters ever.

After the past three episodes, I can see Walt killing Skylar off. I don't think he has the same feelings for her as he once did when they were married.

What did you all think of Walt bringing up the Icarus story in the last scene? It seemed like a show of hubris (I'm the only one who can do what I do) and maybe a veiled threat to Jesse (Don't try to do what I do). In any case, Jesse seems to sense that Walt is becoming unhinged. It will be interesting to see whose side he takes in the coming Walt/Mike showdown.

Also - have they explained what Jesse is doing with his cash now? I assume he's laundering it with Saul rather than piling it under his bed, but I can't recall if it's been discussed.

In regards to the Scareface watching scene with Walt & his kids: Do you think Walt Sr. decided to watch that show with the volume loud as a warning to Skylar? If I recall, someone (Walt, or Walt Jr.) said that everyone was killed at the end. Forshadowing?

That's what I addressed in my earlier post. At first I thought it was aimed at Jesse, but then the "taking liberties he shouldn't have" line made me realize that it was about Mike. Because of how he just took the liberty to spend all their money how he saw fit.

The guy that Mike was meeting with in jail was the one who ran the laundry. He was the one who let Gomez and the K9s sniff around. I'm pretty sure he'd know who Walt and Jesse are.

Exactly.
Remember Jesse getting so pissed about how little Gus was paying them compared to the street value of the product? Contrast that with Jesse's offer to cover Walt's share of the "legacy costs" in order to calm Walt down.

Sooner or later Hank is going to figure everything out. That's when all hell is going to break loose. I think Walt will tell him to keep his mouth shut and that it would make him look bad to have a brother in law that was a meth kingpin this whole time. It's only a matter of time before everything unravels.

I actually think using the extermination tents was a good idea. Nothing stationary so it would be hard to find the labs. I would worry about the Vamanos employees ratting them out.

Do you think Jesse might be telling Walt he broke up with the girl to protect her? Sensing that she might be a loose end Walt has to tie up if the relationship continues.

It's genius. They will not get caught unless Vamanos roles on them, but at $10k per cook, they're making some serious bank with it.

we don't even know who (most of) these guys are. there is a decent chance that some of them have met walt/jesse.

As been stated, the guy that they showed Mike talk to worked at the "cleaners.". They have him working at the meth lab. Everyone else working their is probably being charged in order to get them to role. So they're not going to do this, so they are going to jail.

If they worked at the laundry, they know Jesse and Walt, if not by name. They definitely know Mike. And it's not like Mike was hiding Jesse.

So yes, if they talked it would go back to Walt and Jesse.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you try so hard to find faults and make up theories you can't see things that are there plain as day.

And it's been less than a year, but Flynt looks like he's aged 6 years.

Watching the commercials for mob week made me realize a Breaking Bad--Goodfellas connection.

along with the bug guys finding the nannycam in the tent house, i also noticed a visible camera on the exterior corner before they finished the tent... how long til one of these tent houses has other interior cameras, or some footage becomes incriminating?

Anyone else think the dude from FNL is going to play a role in this thing coming down? Kind of a conspicuous scene with him approaching Walt and Jesse about the nanny cam despite the fact that he was explicitly told not to speak with them.

The guy that told them about the nanny cam is "known" actor. He will play a larger role and will not be fired. He might be a candidate to roll on them if anyone does.

I was thinking, "WTF is he doing?" But then what he said was just trying to be helpful, and Walt seemed to appreciate it even if it was against Mike's rules.

I don't think he's going to rat them out. If any heat comes about because of that guy, it'll probably be because he does something dumb/against the rules with "good" intentions of being helpful.

One thing I noticed in the last week's episode (not so much in this week's) was that Jesse still refers to Walt as Mr White.

Hearing that just kinda drives home how far Walt has come from being the crippled, cancer sticken, chem teacher everyone felt sorry for.
