The image of the Denny's sign in the pic on the previous page made me go looking for it...

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Albuquerque,+New+Mexico,+denny's&hl=en&ll=35.08106,-106.616736&spn=0.000002,0.0006&sll=35.091191,-106.679189&sspn=0.000546,0.0006&t=h&hq=denny's&hnear=Albuquerque,+Bernalillo,+New+Mexico&z=21&layer=c&cbll=35.08106,-106.616736&panoid=yOC5OIFWuVmwT_JC1zMx7w&cbp=13,184.31,,0,0

Google apparently drove through this section of town while the Valero was still a Diamond Shamrock. The store on the other side of the Valero/Diamond Shamrock is a bagel place in both the picture and Google Maps.

I could see him getting fired for talking to them and then rolling over to the DEA.

I really enjoyed the twisted humor of the mobile meth lab cooking drugs in other people's living rooms. It is a genius idea and I thought it's practically impossible for them to get caught, but having a disgruntled ex-employee is a big liability.

I was just in the ABQ and went to visit some of the locations they use in the show. We also drove around the UNM campus. This is directly across the street.

Solid work

Jessie's old apartment/duplex is about .5 miles from there

I love the new business and set up. Really clever. Also liked the Tree of Life style artsy scenes representing the science behind the chemistry when they were cooking. Don't remember if they did that in the past.

This guy on our poker forum randomly found Walt's house a few weeks ago.

I told my wife while we were watching it that I really like the company name but that "vermanos pest" would have been better.

I don't get it.

I'm guessing it's either a play on vermin, or Pollos Hermanos.

Has anyone ever figured out what colors are supposed to represent? Early on, Walt wore nothing but green, drove a green car, and lived in a house with mostly green decor. I don't think I've ever seen a boxcutter that was vibrant green. Now Walt seems to shift around, but he'll still wind up wearing a single color a lot for stretches. I think he's been wearing purple a lot the last couple episodes.

Skyler wore blue a lot in the beginning. Marie is a lunatic for purple. At Elliot Schwart's birthday, bizarrely, everyone was wearing tan. Etc.

Purple is a regal color. Might signify he's the new "king"

I didn't understand the part about Walt saying that guy was walking too close to the sun when he tried to cook.

Also, I think the FNL guy maybe a undercover cop that was investigating the company since they were known for being burglars and selling copies of house keys.

It seems like Walt made a shift to Red, which would make sense as he's getting more and more angry, unpredictable, and chaotic.

I think Hank wears Orange a lot, maybe he's angry and pissed off but has more self-control and rationality mixed in.

Hmmm...that would be an interesting twist. Not seeing why the guy would have warned them about the nanny cam in that case though. Unless he was trying to get in good with Walt and Jesse.

I thought the same thing earlier today. Not sure why but they seem to be focusing on him. But as an above poster stated I think we look too much into the show sometimes and don't enjoy it as much as we could because we are looking for the angles.

It's because he played a very popular character on a great tv show.

my only question about cooking in the house was even with that medical tent up why would they fog the house with their lab equipment still out? isn't it much less of a risk if they were to clean/pack the lab up and then go on with the regular fogging of the house?

For those wanting to visit locations there is a website that has them all.

Over the spring a buddy was staying at the same hotel as Mike. He saw him almost every morning for a week a paper in the lobby.

I posted this back on 5/19 on the thread titles "Getting into Breaking Bad" and I was excited to see it was from this last episode.

Here is a pic of season 5 filming. They were in the neighborhood of a friend and she snapped this pic of Walter & Pinkman (in the middle).

I may be alone in this, but I really enjoy when episodes of shows I like have a very logistic-style show. Maybe I just like logistics too much.

I've never seen a house wrapped for a bug bomb, although I know it can be done in extreme cases. Are there really so many houses in ABQ that need wrapping that they're doing them weekly? That part seemed not so plausible to me.

Also I wondered about leaving the equipment there for the bombing. That seemed imprudent and unlike Walt's previous meticulousness when it comes to keeping the equipment clean.

Jesse and the tortilla were awesome, as was Skinny Pete playing piano.

The only thing i can figure is that they told the homeowner that the huge roadie cases were their foggers. They couldn't go wheeling those out in the middle of the supposed bug-bombing. I'm assuming the tent keeps all the poison out, just like it keeps all the meth odor in.

Yeah, I thought that was odd too. They will obviously have to go back and pack up the equipment. The pest guys don't know what's going on in there.

The pest guys build and tear down the equipment. It is mentioned earlier in the episode when Walt asks Jessie if they know how to put it all together. Walt and Jessie just walk in, cook, and walk out. They don't deal with the equipment other than that.

It's also a color that could represent victory and dominance.

Equally matched? There is no sport team that is equally matched. Unless you have one set of chess pieces red and the other white and two monkeys playing.

Love the little hints of 'mad man' coming out in Walt. The 'standing too close to the sun' line is perfect. Jesse looked like he was a mix of confused and 'who the hell is this guy?'

Anyone know the Texans' record on battle red days? Well allow me to look it up.

It appears we're 8 for 12 on Battle Red Day. Granted the Jags are the most frequent opponent, so take that for what it's worth.

Also, I made sure to pay attention that when Walt and Jesse left the house, everything was boxed up in the big black equipment cases.
