The last three seasons have been building up to that moment and Gilligan pulled it off perfectly. Hank's face was perfect.

it is going to make for a very awkward continuation of dinner, when he finally pinches it off and has to go back out there....

America's destiny is not of our own choosing. We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life. We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive.

I'm interested to see how Hank springs the trap, and how Walt figures it out to flee. When will Walt call Saul's "vacuum repair service" to get his new life in New Hampshire? Will Skylar, his accessory go down with the ship, or will Holly and Breakfast Boy be shipping up north too?

Yeah, no way that big gun is for the DEA. Walt is about to have even bigger problems.

i wonder if he really is out. or if that was him just playing skyler. the czech connection/lydia have to come back into play, as do his new distribution network in AZ. obviously Jesse is going to play some part. perhaps Hank tries to get him to turn on Walt?

....and that was easily one of my favorite episodes in the entire series. the tension was at a 12 throughout. my heart is still going.

Best on tv. PERIOD.

Agree. I thought Walt was going to kill Jesse when they were talking in his house. That was a tense scene.

I thought it was great that they went completely against expectations. I don't think anyone thought Walt would actually get out.

When through killed the 10 Walt standing observing his watch reminded me of Michael during the killings on Godfather 2

Dayum!!! Another fantastic ending as usual.

So, do y'all think the cancer is back? I think Walt had a defeated look when he was eyeing the hand towel dispenser he crushed earlier. That may have influenced his decision to back out. He may have realized then how far he had turned and wanted to just enjoy his family again, but I think we all know it is too late for that now...

Yea, alot in that episode. Loved it. So good.

Poor Jesse. He is so emotional. That was very intense, at his house. I think Hank will eventually get ahold of Jesse and try to get him to roll on Walt. What a decision that will be for him. I just hope Jesse makes it out. By far my character.

Also, I think Walt is truly out. But his new business partners over seas and locally will be after him for more blue. That's what his gun is for in the flash forward.

Looking forward to the last 8 episodes. It is going to be really sad when there is no more Breaking Bad. What a masterpiece.

And yes, the show has been building toward the reveal to Hank. And it was perfect. I didn't think it was going to happen this early. Still 8 episodes left.

I thought something was going to happen in the backyard. To one of the kids maybe. Then Hank comes inside and you started to realize what was happening. That was a great scene. Good thing Hank was on the toilet. Instead of ****ting his pants he just **** in the toilet. Cleaner that way.

1. Those montages are so freaking awesome. I can't remember seeing anything like them on television.

2. Walt's reaction to Hank talking about chasing monsters was perfect. Completely unfazed, he mentions how he used to like camping.

3. Hank's reaction was awesome. Think of everything falling into place in his mind: W.W., the chemistry, the money, the wreck outside the laundry, the equipment missing from Walt's h.s. lab...

4. Maybe I'm still looking/hoping for the good in Walt, but I think he was serious about getting out. He'd finally made the good decision for him and his family. Now all hell will break loose, and for once, it's not directly because of Walt's bad decision.

I cannot believe we are about to endure a year of waiting. What a beautifully executed episode, though I didn't expect anything less.

Wow.

Why did the music get so suspenseful when Jesse was opening up the moneybag?

Combination of suspense that it might have been anything in the bag/ foreshadowing that an already off the deep end drug using Jesse is going to have a major meltdown with that much cash.

Jesse was worried about what exactly Walt "left him"

coulda been a bomb or something, Walt may have been there to kill him for all Jesse knew

The montage was awesome with them cooking and the money being transferred.

Have they already shot the other part of the season ?

Jesse certainly thought Walt was going to take him out, since Saul had told him Walt was tying up loose ends, hence why he fetched a gun off camera

The book was signed "G.B." that pretty much confirms it was directly from Gail, its not a hunch about "W.W."

I wonder if he takes the book to confirm the handwriting as to justify DEA funding for his "hunch."

Every scene was beautiful and with purpose. I remember watching MM and feeling that 95% of scenes were pointless after S2. I tried convincing myself the 95% were for character development, but w/e.

Tying up loose ends = giving Jesse a bunch of money and letting him OD? No need for Walt to get his hands dirty. Still waiting for Jesse to give up Walt, and see a flashback to Gus saying never trust an addict.

While Skyler was showing Walt the pile of money I was thinking he might burn it a la the Joker; he would simply be making the meth for the love of it as money now means nothing to him anymore. But I guess he wasn't quite that twisted.

Awesome episode, anyone else realize that the painting Walt was staring at was the same painting in season 2 when Walt was in the hospital after being naked in the grocery store... Loved that connection

I figured it probably was an obscure connection but could not place it. I thought someone else might post it here; I was right.

Great episode.

I think Walt's out of the cooking, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's still making money off it. He said Empire before, he could have taught his recipe to Todd and set up another cook or two then stepped aside to let the clockwork run itself, collecting a percentage from time to time from lydia's overseas sales and just stashing it in the wastelands.

I wonder how Hank approaches this. Think he'll give Walt a chance to come clean? Or think he'll kick up the investigation and try to bust Walt without warning?

How would you approach it if you were Hank?

He is showing Jesse what he is missing. What is life without work?

Also, watching the episode again, they showed the book in the restroom while Walt was showering (he leaned over to pick up his towel.

Im kinda surprised that Walter goes around in his flat-billed hat and glasses while he knows the DEA has a stupid drawing of him in that getup.

I remember wondering a few seasons back, when they might use "Crystal Blue Persuasion" in the series.

I enjoyed that montage tonight.

I don't think Walt is out. He's not Walt anymore. And the way he talked to Jesse in Say My Name about how he already knows he is going to hell, but he's not going to lay down until he gets there...it doesn't make sense for him to just up and quit after everything he's been saying about the meth empire being the only thing he has left.

And after his scan, I thought the cancer might have come back as well. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Walt eventually takes the Ricin himself at the end of the series. And I still think that there's a chance Jesse will find out that Walt murdered Mike, which will be the last straw that causes Jesse and Walt to face-off against each other.

And that last moment with Hank was masterfully executed. It would've been hilarious if you heard a splash sound just before the cut to credits, but that obviously would've taken away the intensity! Just the build up of knowing that Hank would eventually find out..the way it happened was great. Remember back to when Walt tricked Hank into thinking Marie had been in a horrible accident? Realizing that Walt is Heisenberg is going to crush Hank.

"To W. W., my star, my perfect silence."
