He has to deal with the fact that he has been searching for a family member which he couldnt detect prior to this. He has to explain where the money for his physical therapy came from. His career is over if he pursues Walt.

His career is over? I don't see this at all. Embarrassing? Yes but Hank has been the only one who has kept the investigation going forward. Why would he have to explain about the rehab money? And who would he have to explain rehab money to?
Gee Hank this is good work and all, but remember back when you were almost killed chasing your brother in laws blue? Remind me, how did you pay to get back on your feet again? Now if Walt comes up with a paper trail that makes it appear like Hank knew the whole time, that's a different story. I don't think Hank is going to come out of the crapper worried about losing his job and afraid of Walt though

This seems very unlikely, but man would that be awesome. Schrader finally confronted by Walt in Heisenberg mode.

Can't wait for the return

Season 3 episode "Sunset" is where Walt and Gale have their moment over coffee and Gale recites the Whitman poem. A couple scenes later Walt is sitting at home reading the poetry book when Hank calls him

This is also the same episode of the Hank vs Jesse/Walt RV standoff. So many great moments in this show!

Very noticeable when you go back and watch earlier episodes how well lit the White house was in the beginning. Most of the scenes now it is so dark you can't see anything

Just rewatched the episode. I think Walt's truly out. His attitude with Jesse and Skyler had completely 180'ed. He's built his empire. He's proven his worth. He's provided for his family. He's done.

And Hank is going to drag him right back in.

So what do you do with an estimated $20M of drug money in a storage unit?

Strip clubs/hookers/blow every night for the rest of my life.

Heard on the radio yesterday that Gilligan asked the prop master to estimate the amount of money in the storage & they came up with $80 mil.

Any truth to the rumor that this is a prequel to another show or was that just a joke on Aaron Paul's twitter?

Damn. That is good. It's been so long since I watched season 1 or 2. Eventually I want to start over and watch it all again. I imagine watching the show with a different perspective will be pretty cool.

And I still get goosebumps with "Run."

Rewatching it right now myself, in the middle of season 2. Totally different experience when you know what's coming. Really makes you understand how bad Walt has become.

Very, very well done. I love Walt describing chemistry to his class at the beginning. He was describing exactly what was going to happen to him.

Holy crap. Just got caught up.... I'm ready for a break.... Watching those 4.5 in the past 3 weeks has been exhausting.... Is it next summer yet?

And for the record, I'm in the camp that the book could have come from Gretchen.

Also, obviously, hank can't pursue Walt through the DEA. Too many problems would come up. It will be much more complicated than that

I don't think jesse finds out about Jane or Brock.

I definitely think walt kills one of his kids on accident.

I don't think skyler truly breaks bad, but maybe hank will.

Im waiting on something big from Marie

I can't wait to rewatch with the hubby!!

I think this is the best show on tv

Huh?? Aside from this being a ridiculous theory, Gilligan has already addressed this. I'm all for trying to figure out different angles, but this one is just dumb. Let it go.

I saw that after I posted. I watched the making of special. I guess I just wouldn't be surprised by any plot twists that surprise the viewer

A few thoughts on where this is going:

Remember how Season 5 started. Those events have not yet happened. Walt bought a big-ass gun for a big-ass reason. That scene took place on his next birthday, which I believe is a few months out from where the 1st half of the season left off. Without going back to watch the episode, I think I remember Walt being quite far away from home.

So he's fighting someone (obviously) and perhaps on the run. His appearance has changed, which indicates to me he's changing his public persona to avoid detection...in other words, Hank is pursuing him and the public knows a dangerous criminal is on the loose.

I don't see Hank breaking bad. I do see him fighting some battles with the DEA and maybe even losing his job. Maybe he becomes a vigilante and goes after Walt to protect Walt's family (and his own). I predict it ends with Walt and Hank face to face, maybe even ending on a cliff-hanger.

Then, I think Walt wakes up from surgery to remove his tumor and realizes the entire series has been a dream.

I might denounce the show if they take the easy way out and wizard of oz happy ever after it.

He was till in ABQ. It was discussed in detail earlier in the thread.

So I've been talking about it with a friend and came up with this 'Heisenberg Scale'.

1. "**** you Bogdan, and your eyebrows! Wipe down this!"
2. Giving Walt Jr. tequila and confronting Hank
3. "Stay out of my territory."
4. Blowing up ******bag's car
5. "This is not meth." *boom*
6. Watching Jane die
7. "Run."
8. Shooting Mike out of pure ego
9. Poisoning Brock
10. Ordering the death of Mike's 10 guys

What do you think?
BillOnCapitolHill

Switch 9 and 10.

Brock was more insidious; killing the 10 was just self-preservation...brutal and evil but a necessity.
BillOnCapitolHill

Think of it this way:

Which was more devious Walt killing the 10, or Gus killing the Salamancas?

Which took a deeper level of depravity? Sitting at home and ordering a hit of a bunch of low-level criminals or taking out an entire crime family by ingesting poison and waiting...one took plenty of guts and balls and cunning...the other took a bag of cash.

I don't think Brock was in real danger of death. Walt knew that the docs would figure out the issue in plenty of time, even with a ricin curveball. And they did. Awful? Sure, but no one died.

Right. Like I said, awful. But I don't think there was an intent to kill. Intent to hospitalize, but not kill.
