Somehow I bet this week will feel longer than the rest of the summer...

Hank is going to confront Walt privately. Walt is going to make Hank go away.

They didn't spend 2 minutes of screen time showing Walt hide his Ricin behind the power outlet behind his nightstand for nothing.

And Walt can't just "be out". He's got those guys he made a deal with to keep his big ol' truck of methylamine (SP?).

I imagine that's why he needed a machine gun.

really want Hank to make it through the end of the series.

Rewatching the series now and am in Season 3. I'm recalling some events from Season 3 that I had forgotten; however, if you haven't watched Season 3, stop reading my post now.





I had completely forgotten that WW quit the business before Skylar started banging Beneke and Jesse pitched directly to Gus. And that Gus used the tension between Jesse and Walt (and Walt's ego) to real WW back into the game. I don't know why, but I had it in my mind that WW was the one who wanted to keep Jesse cooking. I had also forgotten that WW initially turned down Gus' initial offer.

91_Aggie, great point on the ricin hiding place. They spent way too much time on that for it to be a complete throwaway. Who's it destined for? Or has that become Walt's new exit strategy? Maybe he does his thing with the big gun, whatever that is, pops the pill and turns himself in to the DEA, or turns himself over to a rival cartel in exchange for someone elses freedom, knowing he won't be around long enough to suffer anyway.

Can you imagine how Saul would handle the current autograph scandal? Hewell and his Irish looking buddy would be paying someone a visit.

Only 165.5 hours away...give or take.

Skylar has lost some weight compared to what she looked on the show

Literally have never been this excited about a tv show in my life.

So at the end of "Fly" Walt sees a fly on the blinking red light of his fire alarm. Between Jesse's story of his aunt's metastasizing cancer making her think about the possum, Walt telling Jesse he was healthy and had lived too long, and the symbology of the battery running out on Walt's alarm battery, is the ultimate take away from the episode that the cancer is going to get Walt in the end? Walt's physical contamination manifested, so to speak?

And what do we make of Jesse telling Walt "we are who we are", considering this is the same guy who told Walt he couldn't up and decide to break bad? Walt then saying it's all contaminated...

Anyway, I hated this episode on the initial viewing, but it's really very good.

So I'm re-watching the first part of season 5 to get ready for Sunday. During Say My Name when Hank and the DEA storm Mike's house with the search warrant, Mike ends up sitting on the couch and watching an old movie. While the camera is focused on Hank, the movie is talking about a cop who killed himself. Could it be foreshadowing Hank's demise?

I don't think it would be too far fetched considering Hank is going to be embarrassed and ashamed to discover that "Heisenberg" was under his nose the whole time. He will also be in trouble with the drug money helping pay for his hospital bills.

Personally, I don't think that Hank will kill himself, but I could see it happening. Just thought that it was an interesting pickup that I didn't notice the first time. Thoughts?

I picked up on that too. Hank is going to be in a quandary seeing as how his boss got fired for not knowing Gus was the drug lord. Could it happen twice in a row?

man, i hope not. i would hate to see badass agent Schrader go out that way. truly one of my favorite characters of all time.

i'm still sticking with Walt and Skylar (and possibly Jr) die at some point, Hank and Marie end up adopting Holly to finally become parents.

then again, that would seem too neat and "nice" for Breaking Bad.

I re-watched season 5 this weekend and the scene that stuck out to me was the Scarface scene. Walt specifically says "doesn't everybody die at the end." I don't see the writers adding a line like that lightly.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of everybody dying except Walt. And I mean everybody. His entire family, Hank, maybe even hank's wife, Gomez, the chick in Houston, Jesse...everybody. Except Hank. And Saul. We gotta have Saul survive for the sequel.

And even though EDITED B/C I MEANT TO SAY "WALT" INSTEAD OF "HANK" survives, the final scene shows him coughing up blood or something else showing that cancer will get him soon. Which means everyone died for nothing.

I think it might end similar to Godfather II. Walt, possibly cured, will have to live a lifetime alone and with the guilt of everything he's done.
