I still think Hank dies in the desert. The phone call was just too much of a good-bye scene, and I don't expect the writers to pull a cheap trick. Hank's had 9 lives already with the Tuco shoot-out, exploding turtlehead, and the cartel brothers. This time has to be it.

Surprised they didn't go ahead and kill Hank/Gomey and Jesse is scrambling off into the desert in the final scene, but we'll see where they take us. I'm assuming it's much more involved so they needed the time. I'm not going to criticize it until I see how it plays out, but it was an opportunity for an epic episode finish that they didn't complete - so I'm very interested to see what they have in mind.

I doubt they read this thread, but nothing that hasn't been discussed here hasn't already been discussed on Reddit, and BaD, Musers, and Corby are known Redditors.

Personally, as frustrating as I found the ending, that WAS an epic finish.

I actually think Bob and Dan might read this thread. I think they have mentioned Texags in the past, and their discussion was basically verbatim what has been said in here. Of course, I guess other message boards are having the same discussions as well.

Does Walt really care for Hank other than an obligation due to marriage? Back when he signed the divorce papers to Skyler, she scolded him any paying for Hank's rehab. She said, "he's family!" Walt replied, "he was family."

pretty sure the phone call to Marie was a very strong indicator that Hank eats it in the dessert.

and yes, i do think a part of Walt still cares very much for Hank.

One thing is for certain.

Jesse is NO LONGER family, he now things of him as a coward and a rat. Walt will handle him without remorse now.

I think Walt will face the ultimate loss so far, watching a family member being gunned down as a direct result of his actions.

I will be on a plane during Sunday's episode. I will be getting plastered at Oktoberfest during the following episode.

To me:

Clear: Hank and Gomez are dead. Out gunned, but still dangerous, so Walt can't call Jack & boys off.

Up in the air: Jesse. He's unarmed. And he can cook. Might Jack spare him? Especially if Walt is yelling "You killed Hank! I won't cook!!!"

Jimmy Fallon fans, he's doing a parody of BB on his show tonight.

I didn't really like the ending, but holding judgement until next episode

If jack's crew is shooting to kill it seems really weak that Hank and Gomez were able to walk what seemed like at least 10 yards up the the vehicles.

I don't buy the shooting to miss theories because no way I would be shooting to miss when other guys were shooting at me to kill me
----

Rewatched first 4 episodes. The pilot was so good. For all the wire talk we had on here, there was actually a scene at Walt's pool where Walt accused Jesse of wearing a wire

Also for the people that were theorizing that Gomez was dirty, there was a scene where Gomez didn't find hidden evidence in Crazy 8 car, but supercop Hank found it quickly

haven't read the last page or so...but the Saul spinoff officially became a GO today...so yeah. Will likely follow his life and rise as a lawyer before ever meeting Walter.

Prequel show? Interesting. So no guarantees he makes it out of this thing alive.

Last episode kinda reminded me of Season 4 type intensity.

I think the show failed in showing the close relationship between Walt and Hank. Sure they're in-laws and have frequent gatherings but they don't seem like close buddies.

With that said, IMO Hank survives and we see a final development in his relationship with Walt. Either Walt kills him or slightly redeems himself.
