any one else interested in this one? i have to say the trailer made it look like it might be pretty entertaining. hopefully it doesn't get too cute.

Cautiously optimistic on this one

I like a little suspension of disbelief, but that trailer really pushed the boundaries for me. I mean, pushed me to the point of eye rolls and "you have GOT to be kidding me!" boundary.

It looks like almost all of this groups "act" involves dropping loads of cash onto the audience. That's shown several times in the trailer. What they don't show is the countless lawsuits brought by people in the audience who were trampled and assaulted by other greedy people.

But, the wife wants to see it so what the hell...

I want to see it.

Cast looks great, as does the premise, but not one single review on Rotten Tomatoes the day before release usually isn't a great sign.

Anyone else ever have a problem reading RT reviews? I feel as though the critics spend more time trying to create elaborate puns than reviewing the damn film. If they aren't too busy trying to be witty, they are as vague as can be.

I just got out from it. Ruffalo and the four horsemen and the four horsemen were great, not sure how I felt about Morgan freeman but I really liked the movie. Only thing I didn't like was the blond chick. Didn't feel the chemistry. Will see it again I'm blu ray

I admittedly was pretty floored with the reveal. There were bread crumbs that lead to the motivation that I figured out in the first 30 minutes, but who was behind it completely surprised me.

Fun film and I actually really liked Jesse Eisenburg for his role, though much smaller than expected. Woody was great. Isla was beautiful and Franco was kinda useless, not as great as his role in 21 Jump St.

This is definitely Ruffalo's film though which he does well.

I was surprised too, and normally I figure it out way before they reveal it.

I really enjoyed this movie. I thought the misdirection on who was pulling the strings was very well done. I did feel like the ending was a little clumsy in how they did the reveal, like they could have had an awesome sixth sense level reveal but the focus groups liked this one better or something. All in all one of the better movies I have seen in a theater in a while.

Good movie especially with the misdirection, will definitely see again when it is released to DVD.

Opening trick with the cards was awesome.

I don't mind sequels or adaptations as much as other people, in fact I enjoy them. But it was really cool to see a more original idea (I guess some people could say Prestige but I disagree)in Hollywood.

Lucas: was that your card? It was mine.

It was ok--the pacing was uneven through the first half. The scenes with the FBI and Interpol agents were pretty painful to me. But I liked the shows and the ending worked.

The card trick at the beginning had to have had some CGI help. Maybe they had that card on the screen slightly longer than every other card or something. Everyone in our party saw the same card.

It was a decent movie. It dragged in the middle but the beginning and end were pretty solid.

i think that's the nature of the card trick itself. the way the cards are flipped by the magician causes that one card to stick out more.

Saw it this past weekend with my fiance and we both enjoyed it! Can't wait for the internship this weekend...

i'll say it was solidly enjoyable. a popcorn flick that doesn't go full retard (fast and furious for example).
