That was a great sneaky commercial.
The most innovative SW marketing in a long time.
When I was still assuming this was a beer commercial, I thought, "I must be exhausted because that horse's snout looks like a tauntaun."

Finally introduced my oldest kid to episode Iv a few weeks and started empire today. It definitely is cool to watch these movies with a first timer.
He asked me if gen. Grievous is in Empire, and it was all I could mfkn do to not go on a diatribe about the obvious.
You showed him the prequels before the originals? Monster.

Maybe the clone troopers Ben remembered were really accurate but the random noob recruits sucked.

Maybe, but not the ones tasked with taking him out on Utapa at the time of Order 66.

I kinda disagree. I think that ad that ran was really smart. While Star Wars remains a huge cultural icon, Mando & Grogu obviously is a lot smaller sliver of the pie. Putting the whole trailer out when you know Spielberg's putting something out and there's a zillion other commercials might have been counter productive. They learned their lesson from the 'meh' Solo trailer they ran during the Super Bowl in 2018.
Tomorrow, there's absolutely nothing going on. Today was a holiday so most people weren't at work but will be back tomorrow, NFL is over, NBA is on the All-star Break, baseball is just barely into spring training, nobody cares about the winter olympics = All Eyes on Grogu for an entire news day or 2.

Most people had today off? I don't know anyone that gets Presidents' Day off.

Agree with all of this
And would add that Solo was also undermined by all the negative press it received about the directors having to be fired and Ron Howard having to Frankenstein something together.
