Anyone else in line for Star Wars Celebration tickets?

Just me?

About an hour in the cue and Im only 20% of the way

I have it open my desktop. At first I was freaked out because I have to run an errand around 5:30, but now I know there's no way in hell it's going to be my turn by then.

If it makes you feel better, I just had a similar thing happen to me. Had an awesome Italian tour lined up that was exactly the kind of trip I've been wanting to do. I put in my PTO request, which took like three days to get the approval for, and by the time I did, the spots had filled up.

So now I have a couple weeks in September with nowhere to go.

go to LA:
Lucas Museum of Narrative Art (LA): Opening Sept. 22, 2026, the "Star Wars in Motion" exhibit features original props, costumes, and vehicles from the first six films, including Luke's Landspeeder.

Same boat, nothing available. I'll try and get some passes from my publishing connections when the time comes.

t I just wanted to say I really appreciate this effort by you, and I'm sorry you aren't getting to go on your trip. I realize our board relationship has ebbed and flowed over the years, but you're a really good guy to reach out like this because I have a lot of disappointment here. Hopefully I can find some in a re-sale market somewhere. I kept promising my daughter we would go to the next one and the next one, and of course they had them in London and Japan and then didn't have one at all, so it's hard not to feel like I'm really letting her down.

Thanks again, BES

Having been to Celebration, I know I would've been absolutely bummed if after all our planning, my buddies and I weren't able to get the tickets.

Honestly blows. Hope you're able to find some on resale.

They allowed 20 adult tickets PER PERSON, from my understanding. A lot of my friends weren't able to get in either and it's kinda sucky.

20 tickets per person is soooo ridiculous. Tokyo has a law that bans resell for profit and while it still occurred outside of official channels/marketplaces it really helped cut down on this. I wish we had something similar in the US, but Ticketmaster would never let that happen.

I have a lot of friends that write Star Wars books so I can sometimes get extra passes. The tricky thing is that it's usually a last minute thing like a week or two before the event. The plus side is that they are typically all access ones because they are author/publisher guest passes. Obviously I can't make any promises but check back in with me next year and I'll see if I can snag you two.

That's really cool of you. I will do just that. I will try to find some sort of resale option between now and then, but I really appreciate it.

Resell isn't the problem. There is no reason to allow people to buy 20 per person.

The UK is also about to implement this as well. High time for the US to do it. Scalping has all but ruined going to live events because its impossible to get seats to anything

Costume clubs locally got slots to attend…some for Rebel Legion, some for 501st, some for Mando Mercs. Will be taking photos in costume from 6-6:45 before getting to watch movie at 7.

You're a great dad for trying. Sometimes that is really all you can do. Feeling like you let your kid down is the worst. Would tie me up in knots.

Let me tell you a story about the opposite side of that coin. I think it was 2003. Wife and I had a block of four season tickets in the Zone Club. Morning of the tu game the other couple going had to back out. We got to CS and just decided to sell the extra two tickets outside Kyle which would be easy enough.

This guy walks up to me with his daughter, both are decked out in A&M gear. She's probably 6 or 7, bows in her hair, cute as can be. Tells me he had promised his daughter that no matter what he was going to take her to this game. I offered to sell them for face value. He starts digging through his wallet he doesn't have enough cash. He then goes on to tell me he got laid off earlier in the year and still hadn't found a job, thanks, but he would see if he could find something cheaper. I told him just to take the tickets and enjoy the game, we'll see you inside. I thought he was going to start crying.

Hour or so later we get to our seats and there is a young couple in the seats I gave away. I asked them where they got the tickets and they told me some guy with a little girl sold them to them. I asked how much and they said a lot, three times the face value, but what the heck right. Then they told me the guy told them he had lost his job and was out of money so he drove up from Houston to sell his tickets to hopefully get enough for them to afford Christmas presents for his kids.

I about puked.

it's a good thing I don't care what my favorite actors\musicians\painters think. I interpret their work and enjoy it. I don't care about their personal politics because I don't know them personally.

I would like to behave similarly, but when said actor has a platform to spew his thoughts from, it no longer matters that I don't know him personally.
