I still say they need to allow people to build dual sabers….literally they'd be printing friggin money….

My wife and I did that. It was fun!

It was a cool experience. My wife was laughing at me because we only bought 1 build and the crew members kept assuming it was for my son. Nope, he got to build a droid the last time, this was for me!

In the store they had an attachment you could buy that would connect two into a double blade.

I've wanted to do that since they first started. STILL haven't been!

Just finished season one of Mando with my son. Man I forgot how great of tv that was. As great of an actor as Giancarlo Esposito is, he takes me out of the scene playing Moff Gideon (like most of the other stunt casting in the show).

A combination of good grades by the kids and my own good 2025 business delivered a PS5 last weekend as an early Christmas gift.

While my gamer immediately jumped into 2 games I've never heard of I showed my stripes by downloading the Lego Original Trilogy and spent $5 on the 1999 train wreck of a game known as The Phantom Menace, featuring the voices of Jake Loyd and Ahmed Best and being the only Star Wars game where you can kill EVERYBODY - you can't advance through levels when you slaughter innocents, but you can turn the Mos Espa level into a round of Grand Theft Auto as your Qui-Gon Jinn kills thugs, city guards, children, women, and anyone else who gets in your way.

The level will only end if you kill Anakin, Padme, or Jar Jar, maybe Watto as well. Fond memories of killing Kitster in front of Anakin. It is possible to slaughter every Gungan in Otoh Gunga outside of Jar Jar and the bosses and still make it through that level.

It's hard to imagine how any of this was approved by Lucasfilm. They literally had 9 year old Jake Loyd record the dialogue, "I'm not helping a murderer like you!"

I played that game back in the day on pc. There were a few codes you could enter to keep playing obi or quigon instead of suck ass padme or captain panaka. You could also change the perspective so you could always have first person. Full weapons and full health possible too.

While mostly terrible it does provide some cool ideas of what was going on between the scenes the movie showed and side plots.

Did you check out the projection show and fireworks from Galaxys edge? Saw it in Disneyland early December. Very cool.

No, yesterday was an exclusive Christmas party for which we didn't pay.

Maybe next time

We're surprising my kids Christmas and telling them we're going to Disney… in February. Pray for my mental health the next two months…

My six year old loves Star Wars almost as much as me. Please tell me the do's and donts of galaxy's edge. Literally all I care about during this five days of throwing away money.

Plan a bit of time to just walk around and soak up Galaxys edge. Not a bad strategy to shoot for mid day when all the lines are crazy long. The first time you round a corner and see a life size Falcon is breathtaking. Grab a seat or some food and just watch people. Ogas cantina is super cool, but you often don't get seats, but are standing at bar height tables, as cool as it is, sounds kinda miserable with a 6 yo. If money isn't a huge concern, pay the extra to ride Rise of the Resistance. If you choose to wait in the line, download the app that lets you play the "datapad" game - different areas of the line trigger different puzzles you can do. Built the droids when my kids were little, it was a blast and they still have them on display. Saber looks cool but haven't done them yet. Blue milk is gross. Been to Disneyland and World, layout is identical but it seems I see way more characters at Land. That's all I can think of.

Land or World?

If Land, check into the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering. There is a platform above the Falcon they rope off and have a viewing party for the firework and light show (featured in the post above). The show and the view is great. It's extra $$ but worth it IMO. They do not have this in Florida (or didn't last year).

Make a reservation for Oga's for early morning, and you'll almost certainly get a table. Order the Angry Bloody Rancor. Oga's is fun for about 20 minutes but there's no reason to linger.

DON'T wait in the standby for the Millennium Falcon ride if it's longer than 30 minutes. It is not worth the wait, and the line has a lot of waiting around in spurts for long periods of time.

I have not been to Disney Land, but can confirm Ahsoka is exclusive there. Asked about her yesterday. Saw Rey a couple times, Kylo Ren and First Order storm troopers are always present, and got a picture with Mando and Grogu yesterday.

You can find lines for Chewbacca and Darth Vader for pictures. Apparently Chewbacca was in his Life Day garb for the Christmas party last night.

If you build a droid, they will interact with things at various places. You will definitely need to book that or the lightsaber well in advance.

Every time I've been the lines for Rise and the Falcon have been incredibly long, but I guess there weren't many people there yesterday. Anything under 70 minutes is unusual, but reasonable. We walked in and it was 50 minutes for Rise, so we didn't bother with lightning pass.

Had blue milk for the 1st time yesterday and thought it was good. Not amazing, but not gross. There is also a green version. Both are available as is, or with rum or tequila added. There is a food shop called Rontu's Roaster that had a pretty good wrap. I have not been to Olga's, I think you need a reservation for that. The thermal detonater shaped cokes were $6.50 yesterday, and I don't think they are 20 oz, but not 100% sure on that. In Toy Story land right around the corner, a 20 oz coke is $5.50. 1st time I went i got them for the theme as keepsakes, but not worth it besides that. There are tons of gift shops around with some cool stuff.

Oh yeah, if you have a small child, the gift shop after Star Tours has a selection of plastic lightsaber parts that give the impression of building your own, without spending a small fortune. I think 50 bucks would do it.

Additionally, Toy Story land has the next best ride after Rise of the Resistance...Slinky Dog Dash. Also Toy Story Mania is a fun, interactive ride. Usually lightning pass is gonna be worth it.

A final note about the Lightning pass, I think it restricts what you can choose. For instance you can't do Falcon and Rise, you'll have to pick Falcon and something less desirable like the Alien saucers. You can pick 3 at a time, but after you ride the first you can add another. So you can always have 3 scheduled.

If I think of more, I'll add it later.

We will be at world in Orlando. I'm thinking I'll pay for rise of resistance even if it's just me. I'm already blowing thousands of dollars. May as well!

Depending on when you go, you could probably get a 60-75 min wait on Rise without it. Just a question of if you want to spend the time in the line or not

Staying on property? I don't think that's a peak timeframe and it's after the Disney marathon weekend…I'd just try and rope drop rise and then potentially lightning lane Slinky Dog Dash

If Hollywood studios isn't your first park, I'd keep an eye on wait times via the app and then you can get a feel for how long you'd generally have to wait.

It's awesome, really the only must do rides for me at Animal Kingdom are Flight of Passage, Kilamajaro Safari and Everest (if you like roller coasters)

DM me if you want to chat Disney, my family goes a ton so happy to share tips

If you happen to be in AK at night, the Pandora section looks really cool all lit up. Same with Galaxys edge.

we spent the least amount of time in animal kingdom but it was our first day. Got there before rope drop and got in early and made a bee line for Pandora….ive never seen any of the movies but knew I wanted to do this ride and it was awesome!

The ride was far better than any of the movies. It actually made me interested in that world. And the ride was immersive with physical world effects while being a blast to ride.

Do they still do the Jedi Academy show? I made that priority 1 for my 6 year old many years ago, and it was the highlight of the trip... the thing he still remembers to this day.

I don't know how much this costs, but it's a valid option. I wonder if you get guaranteed pilot seats for the falcon

Few hundred per person, per day. They'll pick you up at your hotel and get you past the main gates. Bring you snacks, get you to the front of lines, etc. d
did slinky dog dash 3 times in 15 minutes with a 3 hour wait for the normal line. Told us the trick of hopping off wifi for reserving times, etc. Completely worth it.

You should put some acorns in it l, leave it outside and when the squirrels tear it apart, it'll look like return of the jedi on Endor.
