This is going to ramble and probably make sense to like 3 people, but what I really want in a superhero movie is a hero who inspires people and leads them, not does all the work in these crazy CGI outer space battles.
There are 3 superhero movies off the top of my head that do this really well in the last 10-15 years.
The first is Captain America: The First Avenger. Steve goes behind enemy lines to rescues his guys, but all of them contribute to getting the hell away from the Red Skull. It's Cap leading a platoon of bad-ass soldiers to take the fight to the GD Nazis.
The second is Wonder Woman, with its incredible scene where she charges through the no-man's zone between the trenches and then her, Steve Trevor, and his guys take out the Germans in the little French town. She gets out there and inspires other heroes to go beyond what they think they could do and it's bad-ass.
Third is my eternally banged drum of Man of Steel. When Zod's forces decide they want to take Lois Lane along with Kal-El, Christopher Meloni's military officer basically tells Faora to go **** herself.
Then in the battle through Smallville, the military is actively engaging Zod's forces, including Meloni gamely drawing a knife on Faora when he's the last one standing. Oddly, one of my favorite lines of that movie is Meloni's troops with their guns out on Superman and Meloni tells them, "This man is not our enemy."
My one all-time hang up of the last 2 Avenger movies is - where the heck are the people of earth during these battles? Why isn't the Air Force showing up in Endgame to help fight Thanos's troops? That would have been a real full-circle moment from them launching the nuke at NYC in Avengers back in 2012.
That's my real hope for DC going forward. Don't just make their comic book characters into unstoppable good guys fighting unstoppable bad guys in CGI smash-em-ups all over the place. Put some real people in the movies that are inspired by the heroes and willing to fight along side of them, not just stand there slackjawed watching the laser beams and punches.
And the Accords as a result of Ultron.fig96 said:
To be fair, lots of other Marvel properties addressed the aftermath of the Battle of New York and its effects on people.

Has HBO Max’s Green Lantern Series Been Axed? James Gunn Says… https://t.co/ZGo3G1UxVc

That's sort of confusing simply because the following statement almost suggests this property is being managed by someone else at DC that isn't Gunn as if its a rogue property. I'm sure it's not....it at least seems to have been recast during the window between Hamada leaving and Gunn arriving.AliasMan02 said:

In response to a report that HBO Max's planned Green Lantern series had been scrapped, the new co-CEO of DC Studios responded on Twitter Dec. 26, simply writing: "Fake."

The decision to mold the show around Stewart was made after the exit of former DC Films President Walter Hamada earlier in October, according to the outlet, but had "nothing to do" with Gunn and Peter Safran being elevated to their new co-CEO roles at DC Studios.

If they keep Ezra Miller after ditching Henry Cavil, the international court system should give Cavil carte blanche to kill Ezra Miller with his bare hands.Brian Earl Spilner said:Variety reports that some WB executives are open to the idea of keeping Ezra Miller as the Flash after ‘The Flash’ releases on June 16, 2023.
