I think the previews have gotten better and better for this movie. I've moved from cautiously optimistic to full on excited! I read that the runtime is going to be about 2 hours, which I think is the right move. About the same length as GotG, which I think will be a good financial comparison for this one.
Ahhhh 1) You people fall for it (hollywood pre-release hype) every time. Every. Time. 2) If it comes anywhere close to that prediction, I'm putting all the credit on Margot Robbie.
This isn't "hype." It has nothing to do with impressions or early reactions. These numbers are based on actual research and polling, and are usually fairly accurate for the most part, save for a Deadpool-like surprise now and again.

Ahhh, ok. My post was meant mainly in jest, based on all of the out of this world reviews of BvS before it came out. And as a scientist I'm all about actual research and stats, I just don't understand where they come up with legitimate representative groups, etc. to determine how much money a movie will make. But they're obviously smarter than me.
The part I wasn't joking about it was Margot Robbie....ooofff, I saw her in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot recently. My God, she's the type of woman you stare at and completely lose your train of thought when you watch her.
The more and more pictures I see, the more and more I see her as Wonder Woman. I'm very anxiously awaiting that movie. I think it's going to be one of the first true blockbuster female action movies.
Comic Con poster for Batman Returns. Not too familiar with Comic Con traditions, but I guess they do this with older movies. Saw some Captain America: The First Avenger posters and Ant-Man ones as well.
quote:Young D*ck (wow, Texags actually edited out his name) Grayson, who will be voiced by Michael Cera in the film, is actually a boy Bruce accidentally adopts at a charity auction, according to McKay.
"Lego Batman is About a Boyas directed by Michael Mann," McKay says. "This is a single guy who suddenly has a kid literally drop into his world."
quote:The footage of the upcoming Justice League Action animated series looks really promising too.
That looks pretty cool, but I guess I'm too damn old. I don't recognize several of those heroes/villains and where does one go to watch such a thing?
It's going to be on Cartoon Network.
The reason I'm optimistic is it looks a lot like a throwback to the Bruce Timm Batman/Superman/Justice League cartoons of the 90's-early 2000's. They even got a few of the same voice actors back. To me those shows were the best representations of the DC characters ever created, either on film or in print.
As to the heroes/villains I spotted (in this order):
Batman Superman Wonder Woman Firestorm Mongul (villain made famous from a comic by Alan Moore of Watchmen fame) Joker Lobo Atom Stargirl Blue Beetle Martian Manhunter Etrigan The Demon Lex Luthor Hippolyta (WW's mother) Hawkman Toyman Cyborg Brainiac Solomon Grundy Swamp Thing Plastic Man Zatanna Harley Quinn Vixen Mr. Freeze
There were a few villains I did not recognize at all, possibly newly created for the show?
Yeah, it looks to be in a similar vein to the Timm-verse. Depending on how long that has been in development, I guess it's possible that's the reason that Young Justice was canceled. Different art styles though.
