quote:I think this kinda nails the difference right there. Marvel is taking characters that most folks don't know or care about and making outstanding shows and films about them, while DC hasn't figured out their primary characters yet.quote:I'm the opposite. I grew up loving the DC comics and I'm more looking forward to WW and JL and Suicide Squad than Doctor Strange or Black Panther, neither of which I"m all that familiar with. Same thing with the Netflix Marvel stuff. I have no idea who any of those guys (except Daredevil) even are.
I'm optimistic for the DCU, but can't bring myself to say that I'm more excited about it than the Marvel slate, but I'm an admitted Marvel fanboy. I do think Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman will get DC back on track. Just by looking at the casts and concept art for Doctor Strange, GotG 2, Spider-Man, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther (my most anticipated), AND Infinity War, I don't see Marvel making a movie I won't enjoy in the next 2 years.
Disclaimer: I didn't know anything about GotG either, but loved that movie. I also DIDN'T hate BvS or even MoS.
And I'm a huge Batman fan and would love nothing more for them to create an awesome universe for him and his villains to live in.
