Agreed. There was a whole discussion between her and McGinnis about it if I remember correctly. I think many people see Batman as a pseudo-father to her so they'll think it is weird. Also people hear Batgirl, and think she is a kid. The movie shows that this is a young adult who has a job. She is just younger than her "yoga instructor"

I don't know much about either except what I've seen in the movies. All I know is they're both Gods, right? Or at least created by one. And WW going toe to toe with Doomsday makes her seem pretty damn strong.

This is outdated continuity. Wonder Woman is the literal child of Zeus and Hippolyta and has access to full powers of Zeus if she takes off her bracers, which act as a power limiter. She killed Ares and was God of War for a while.
Granted with DC's Rebirth, both of the above have been thrown in flux and her new origins will be revealed over the next year. It's unlikely that her power level or godly powers will go away though.
