I saw it.
Better than I expected, but I went in with pretty low expectations for it.
The biggest problem this show will have is that it's on the wrong network.

quote:I still expected them to have a crossover since CBS is a part owner of CW, but this article says it won't happen.
It's no Agent Carter, but it was good enough for me to give it a couple more episodes. What would really help this show is if it was on the CW and crossed over with the Flash/Arrow. Even if Arrow had a down season last year, I was still excited from time to time to see Cisco or someone pop up in there.
I gave Gotham half a season before bailing and I enjoy Supergirl a lot more than that, so I think I will give it until the midseason finale.

I watched the pilot when it leaked and it seemed really corny and dumb.

Anyone else notice that Jimmy Olsen got a tan all of a sudden?!

quote:My wife and I laughed at the politically correct disclaimer, but I think the show did a good job of keeping the PC Nazis off their back. Its one of those things has to be done in this annoying time.quote:quote:Did anyone notice a mid-20s female superhero is referred to as "girl".

Maybe they will eventually address that vs. why they didn't go with Super Woman....

Anyone else notice that supergirl has a chicken pox scar on her left eyebrow?
quote:Agreed. It seams like other thant the big four of Wonder Woman, Jean Grey, Storm, and Invisible Woman; the others are cheap / lazy creations. Either a male was replaced with a female or the female is a side kick or clone of an established male.
I said this in another thread, but I wish they would have found a female super hero that wasn't a carbon copy of some male version. Super woman, spider woman, bat girl, etc. these were all just stupid copies comicbook companies made.

Supergirl has best ratings of new fall shows
Proof positive that a lot of people will watch the stupidest sh** as long as it's on CBS **cough cough** Big Bang Theory, 2 1/2 Men, Two Broke Girls, all the NCIS and CSI shows **cough cough**

Sure millions of people are watching, but THEY'RE the stupid ones.
I forgot the TexAgs Entertainment Board was full of educated TV savants. I watched it and I enjoyed it. It's not as good as Flashor Arrow, but still an entertaining show.

I'm confused if I'm supposed to think of her as a powerful female role model or as a sex object.
