Good show that you can watch wth your kids. I enjoyed it, and my daughters loved it.

2 broke girls makes me want to stab my eyeballs out with a fondue poker. Even the commercials for it.

I was going to give it a shot because she's hot, but the first thing out of her mouth (after the back-story montage) was a dig at Bill O'Rielly. I'm not fan of the network by any means, but to hit a fox news joke right out of the box made me groan and I knew right then what type of show we were dealing with.
Also, is there any reason why they couldn't say Superman? Every time they referred to him, they used the He, Him, or His pronouns.
quote:If you're wondering how the guy survived or was so tough, it's because he was a prisoner in the Phantom Zone. That's were their bad guys are coming from.
I saw a commercial for it and she apparently kicks a guy in the chest and his body literally splits apart an 18 wheeler down the middle and then blows up. The voice in my head was yelling, "I'm out!".
quote:So a flying ailen with super powers is very believable, but the thing you mentioned just crossed the line into implausable?

It's cute, but it's not particularly good.

We watched the first one, wife says we will give it a few more shots to see where it goes and if it can hold together.
My question. So all these Phantom Zone baddies are running around, and their little shadow organization hates Supergirl and is coming after her because of her parents. Okay, fine. So why aren't they equally zealous about going after Superman?
quote:This will be the ongoing plot hole for the entire show - why doesn't he help out against whatever super evil thing is attacking National City. The show would behoove itself to stop making constant references to him... it only makes his absence from the show more conspicuous.

quote:This. They baddies are going specifically after her because her mom locked them all up. Can't revenge on her so they go after her kid. I get that.quote:This will be the ongoing plot hole for the entire show - why doesn't he help out against whatever super evil thing is attacking National City. Wow, Supergirl was the very topless informant in Homeland S01E02...

Anyone catch the glowing red eyes of the head alien hunting unit guy. I'm thinking he might be the Martian Manhunter, it makes sense with his talk about "having a family".

If you are at all familiar with 90's era Superman comics you already know who he is. I won't spoil you but with a little research you can figure it out.
quote:Helen Slater is her mom.
Dean Cain is her adoptive dad. I laughed at that, my wife didn't understand.
