Good show that you can watch wth your kids. I enjoyed it, and my daughters loved it.

I'm a girl, and therefore need a better reason to watch a show that someone "having a nice rack."
I was going to give it a shot because she's hot, but the first thing out of her mouth (after the back-story montage) was a dig at Bill O'Rielly. I'm not fan of the network by any means, but to hit a fox news joke right out of the box made me groan and I knew right then what type of show we were dealing with.
Also, is there any reason why they couldn't say Superman? Every time they referred to him, they used the He, Him, or His pronouns.

Well that explains it at least. Still points to poor marketing. I know very little about Supergirl or the "phantom zone"... based on that commercial she was just doing her part to stop crime and she kicked some dude through a semi (with effects that were pretty cheesy even for a TV show I might add).

Watched episode 2 last night. It's...ok.
The acting is kinda bad, and the number of coincidences are more than groan inducing. Her aunt happens to be her mom's twin while her sister happens to be a secret alien task force agent. Jimmy Olsen makes his way there to look out for her, and the alien task force leader is a parody of every buddy cop desk sergeant ever written.
It's cute, but it's not particularly good.

My question. So all these Phantom Zone baddies are running around, and their little shadow organization hates Supergirl and is coming after her because of her parents. Okay, fine. So why aren't they equally zealous about going after Superman?

But the baddies are all Kryptonian, which would by definition almost demand help by "the Big Guy", not leave his poor cousin to fend for herself, chick or not.

Heyoooo. She may or may not have been a victim of the fappening.
I was just about to post that. Not just a victim of The Fappening but Wow.
Just caught up on this, and I'm really excited now that we know who Hank Henshaw really is. One of my favorite DC characters for sure.
Just as reminder, the Flash and Supergirl crossover is tonight. Also, this sneak peek is pretty funny.
