I enjoyed it too. I can't believe there's only one episode left, but I'm entertained.

I had to double check, but the intro song was seasons 1 intro song. I thought it sounded familiar.

Which means, I bet the finale will have seasons 2 intro. Let the mystery BEEEEEEEE!

So in mirror world everyone is dead.

Kevin kills that world, he is finally mortal. Implications on the departure?

I am so confused about what the "dead world" is. Not a heaven or a hell exactly. I guess only one of the Kevins died in the end. Not sure what it all means.

It's all in kevin's head. The departure is the only mystery. All the other story lines on the show are just coincidence and circumstance.

Yeah, my take is there is no other world. Kevin is just crazy and dealing with it the best he can without real treatment. Stop looking for answers and enjoy the pain...my 2 cents.

If it's all in Kevin's head, then how do you explain that he's literally died and come back to life multiple times?

Because nobody has smashed his brains in yet! I've done it. I've figured out the show.

Yeah, I don't think its "all in his head"....don't know the final conclusion of course, but I don't believe that the only "supernatural" thing in the entire show was the departure, and everything else (mainly Kevin-related) is just him having visions.

Science? Have they really ever showed how long he is out? I mean time in his "other world" likely doesn't equal time expired.

Well, I may be too dumb to follow this show. I get confused about what is real and what is not. I'm glad the finale is coming up. I hate the episodes of Kevin going to the other world. And what is up with him having to lay his p e n I s on the thing to get in? This show throws some weird stuff in there.

He was literally buried in the earth for hours and hours, was out cold from a gun shot to the chest for at least 15 minutes or so, and since then he's been drowned TWICE.

It's not just some sleight of hand Lindeloff is trying to pull. Kevin has literally died four times now, if not more. If this is a show in which hundreds of thousands of people can instantly disappear, it shouldn't be a stretch that someone can die, come back to life, and have visited some kind of alternate reality in between.

Do you believe his father and the flood to be true as well?...as in not crazy?
TCTTS

I honestly have no idea. That's what I find so intriguing. That said, I got the distinct impression that the flood didn't happen based on the final scene of the last episode. The ladder to the roof (where Kevin's father was sitting) was very remenicent of the opening sequence of the season with the quaker families and their faith not being rewarded in much the same way. But I could be wrong.

I thought it was strongly implied that a flood never came, which is why the father seemed depressed.

Lindelof has said something along the lines of "2% of what you see in the show is magic" just like 2% of the population disappeared. I think that Kevin's trip to wherever are "real" and not in his head (whatever that actual means).

The earthquakes from last season were experienced by many people right, so I'd say it's not all in his head. Plus on the other side, he saw the Australian guy on the bridge, who he'd never seen before so that has to be some type of connection.

He's partly being tongue in cheek, obviously, but I'm seeing a lot of tweets like this. The finale screener went out to critics last week and it's getting some legit great buzz, without giving anything away. Cannot wait. Now, just to decide if I'm going to watch it live or wait 'til the end of game two of the Finals...

Any big revelation or explanation tonight will go against everything the show and creator/writer is about. There will be more questions than answers after the finale...and we'll be left to debate what means what. Just my speculation.

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't believe anything about the departures were meant to be explained. The show is just about living in the aftermath. And that's how it ends.

A lot like Seinfeld; a show about nothing.

So happy they went back to Iris Dement for the finale credits song.

So perfect for this show.

I really enjoyed the finale.

I think I would have preferred the writers to spend the past 3 or 4 episodes showing us Nora's story that she told instead of the horse crap we saw. It would have been a more beautiful story. I'm a much bigger fan of a nice story that's told well as opposed to a weird story that makes no sense.

Nora's story puts a bow on the "other side" where the 140 MM people went

But

what about Kevin's supernatural powers, the weird assassination stuff in his dead dreamworld, Guilty Remnant

Just let the mystery be.

That was absolutely perfect.

I'd put these past two seasons up against the best of what the "golden age" has given us, and that finale, while nothing at all what I expected, was exactly what it needed to be. One of the most satisfying series finales I've ever seen.

And we even got answers to boot.

Sure, there are still plenty of questions - as we expected there to be - but I honestly didn't even think we'd get what we got. And yeah, an episode or two devoted to actually showing the story Nora told could have been incredibly compelling, but I think I honestly like the story version better. It was Lindeloff finally flinching and giving us answers, but in the most teasing/winking Lindeloff way possible, and I don't think I'd want it to be anything else.

I'm definitely going to miss this show, but can't wait to see what Lindeloff does next.

Well, here's your answer:

The Leftovers Boss: 'There's No Excuse Not to Show More Dongs' on Television

http://tvline.com/2017/06/04/the-leftovers-justin-theroux-naked-nudity-full-frontal/

For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the johnsons, in The Leftovers' three seasons (which conclude Sunday at 9/8c), the EP has also startled viewers by having Christopher Eccleston and Chris Zylka reveal their leading-manhoods. "The audience still has a very odd reaction to seeing male genitalia," says Lindelof. "Yet when they see female genitalia or naked breasts, they're completely nonchalant about it. [So] I'm just the beginning of the vanguard, but I want to normalize male nudity on television."
