Speaking of, what was the last great ORIGINAL song written specifically for a movie that was also a hit single / on the radio. In the vein of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" (Batman Forever), Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" (Titanic), or Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," etc. I can't remember the last time this was popular.

I know this post is three years old, but I just cant help but say Seal's song was not written for Batman Forever. It was on his own album a year before the movie was released.
