Okay, speculation: is it possible Perry is Jane's attacker? The "interior decorator" looked like him.

Also, something is going to come up with Ed (madelines husband). That time he talked with Bonnie at the gym he said something about liking women and sweat and he did a double take, like checked out a girls butt. Not that that's the biggest thing in the world but there has to be a reason why we saw that. So far he seems like a "good" husband but maybe he is not as good as we think.

I think Perry could be Jane's attacker

I think that's exactly who they want us to think is the dad. The fact that Jane hasn't met (or even see) Perry yet lends me to agree with you.

Well, I hope there is something with a twist and not something mundane like Renata snaps and shoots Madeline or something simple like that.

But I also don't want something that has crazy coincidences. Like Perry as the attacker.

And Madeleine's new husband has started to have a higher creep factor. Always staring at the daughter (who then moves out). Has awkward moments all over the place. Says he likes sweaty women. Just watch him interact with the other women on the series. He might not be the plot twist but there could easily be something there.

Also, Jane is insane. Why are Madeleine and Celeste instant best friends with her. I mean, she's pretty unstable. Surely they could sense that.

Yea, they keep bringing up how "off" he is, but for the most part he seems like the sanest character on the show. Definitely interested to see what exactly he is weird about.

I don't think Jane shot that guy, she looked pissed off and not scared.

The last 3 episodes should be wild.

The shrink asking Celeste if the kids saw the abuse seems to be another hint that they're the ones abusing Ammabella.

Yes, I agree I do not want there to be some crazy coincidence like Perry being the attacker. Possible but so unlikely in real life! I also don't think Jane killed anyone. I know they show her with a gun and everything, but it seems too obvious.

I really enjoy the flashbacks/daydreams/nightmares. I think they are edited very well and it depicts the burden and fear Jane feels 24/7.

I loved the scene where Madeline and Nathan sat down at the outdoor cafe and Nathan referred to her husband as "Psycho Ed" loll

haha i doubt it. This show (specifically ex-husband and flash forward witnesses) isn't characterizing him as some "psycho creep" whose big little lie is that he's gay. It's got to be something somewhat....sinister (for lack of a better word).

The interior decorator's linkage was that he had a very similar name that her attacker used that night. What he looks like is irrelevant. He is either the attacker or not. Not sure i follow the logic, but I ask because sometimes this shows confuse me.

Yea, Jane said she'd know his voice and 'cologne' (thus why she creepily got close to the architect). Based on the way the architect reacted to her, I don't see how he's the attacker.

Just re-watched episode 1 and during the opening crime scene sequence there's a brief cutaway to a man walking across the screen....wearing a costume we've seen before (apologies for the image quality, I took it with my iPhone right off my TV):

I watched the sequence a couple of times and there's only 2 characters the camera focuses on that is clear enough to discern.

1. The image above of Ed in his Elvis Costume
2. Celeste crying on the side of the road

The rest of the people are either unknown or unrecognizable. But, I did find it interesting that Ed is walking right across all the action as if he doesn't have a care in the world.

So now Ed is the physco killer? What guy wouldn't want to get his rocks off to that sweaty yoga chick. Junior ms kravitz is fine.
Twins are bullying Annabella. Ziggy is normal, Jane just crazy.
Maddy and ed finally have some kinky time.
Renata gets put in her place after it's found about Celeste's boys.
Perry and Celeste finally go to far and Celeste fights back killing perry and then kills herself because she feels guilty and won't get the rage **** anymore.

I think I covered everyone

I agree the linkage was the name he used. But appearance has to mean at least a tiny bit. She knows her attacker was a white male of a certain age. If Saxon Banks came up as 70 year old black man she would know it's not him. Perry's appearance is within range.

Beef a Reno: I agree it is normal for Ed to check out women. I don't think he is the killer. I just think he has a big little lie as everyone seems to. Maybe we saw him checking out women because he is beginning to stray from his marriage (as Madeline has?)

I enjoyed the episode. Nice to see Celeste fight back in a bigger way. Renata starting to ease up on Jane (especially after Jane was physical) seems out of character.

Oh, yeah. I do think celestes therapy session seemed brilliant. The therapist talking all lawyer-y about how Celeste doesn't have a case that would stand up in court (based on evidence Celeste presents to the outside world).
Joan Wilder

Agreed - the therapist telling her to get an apartment to remove the excuse of "where would I go?" was fantastic advice to get Celeste moving

Zoe Kravitz' character is such a cliche - what woman would a) sit on the information about her step daughter auctioning her virginity and b) have that kind of "let's keep an open mind" attitude. Even a hippie yoga teacher would not be ok with that, and the dad even semi- going along with it ? Cmon.

Reese's discussion and confessions to her daughter were devastating - what fantastic acting.

More of the same this week. Which is mostly good.

Acting and cinematography are top notch. Characters are all pretty dang good. Some new plot twists unveiled each week, but it's good we will get closure next week as there are only so many weeks we can keep talking about "it" before we need something to actually happen.

This week's twist with daughter was pretty out of nowhere. I thought it was going to be her revealing that her step-dad was hitting on her. Madeleine throwing up at dinner was actually pretty funny.

What was actually really good was the honesty. Madeliene confessing her affair in very real terms to her daughter. The counselor giving honest and blatant advice on the new apartment after the mockroom trial. And Renata and Jane's unbelievable "we're not so different after all" scene was a brilliant twist in a direction I didn't imagine, but watching it and it all seemed plausible.

But again, it's time to wrap some things up.. I would be interested in a season two. This has been the best new thing on tv in a bit.

I don't think Ed is into Abigail. She acts too normal around him. I think he is a sex-starved husband that could possibly want to cheat on his wife (with a woman, not a child).

It's HBO's highest rated show.

I realize that there are no giants on HBO right now (GoT's etc.) but still . . . .

Now how Real Housewives of Atlanta can be on there, well, that's another topic.

I don't either, but he has to be hiding something, right? The show has given too many 'subtle' nods to 'Steady Eddy' that he can't simply be as advertised. (I can't imagine it's something as simple as not getting enough poon)
