Finally watched Sunday's epeisode and I am officially hooked. This show is phenomenal. So much potential, too, with all these characters and all these crisscrossing stories. I know a few people who just can't stomach the subject matter, and I totally get that, but the acting is so damn good, and every thread so damn compelling, that I see right past the things that may turn others off.
Also, the entire episode I kept wondering who directed it. It was so well shot. Just the framing, the colors, the camera movement - parts of it were almost Fincher-esque. So I rewound it at the end to check the credits and none other than Franco himself directed it. Between how great The Disaster Artist looks (which he directed as well), how nicely done this episode was, and how great his performances are here, the guy is really coming into his own as of late. Which I know sounds weird to say about someone who's been around for so long, but it's the truth.
Cannot wait to see him and this show continue to evolve.
