I disagree a little bit on Westworld, I think what happens in Westworld, with no context of what the world is like outside of it, is part of the mystique of the show.
And I like the idea of seeing the war in the Matrix, but I don't know how you'd pull it off without it seeming like a Terminator ripoff.
I'd like to see the origin story of The Borg, if only because I think you could do a sort of analog to modern society on earth and make it a really good movie. It started with devices to make life easier/better, then as society slowly relied more on these devices and their connectivity people began to lose their individualism and became the collective. The point in time where the individuals became the collective would be what I'd base the movie around.
