In terms of story, I think this actually looks like a better movie. Nothing can compete with Villeneuve and Deakins, but man, this comes across as the opposite of generic to me.

I can't decide if I liked that second trailer a lot or if I'm kind of aggravated at it. I feel like it revealed A LOT about where they're taking this thing.

Don't get me wrong, it was awesome to watch but it feels like I now know 75% of the plotline.

Sheridan is awesome though so I'll hold out hope that there's a lot more to what we haven't seen.

Wind River, right? What else did he do?

I just watched Wind River recently, and it was an alright movie with very good acting. But the writing was nothing to write home about, imo. (No pun intended.)

Haven't seen Wind River yet but Sicario and Hell or High Water were both bad ass.

Of course, the acting by Del Toro & Brolin in Sicario, and Bridges in HOHW had a LOT to do with both.

I agree with the earlier statement about the music. The ominous sound really plays into the effect, much like the music in Blade Runner 2049 played into that movie.

I thought the acting in HoHW was top notch across the board. Loved Ben Foster and Chris Pine. The scene between Pine and Bridges at the end...fantastic dialogue.
