These are always such a crap shoot. Loved the first two, the rest were stupid until the last one with Adrian Brody which I thought was great.

That being said, they'll still get my money and I hope they stay in the lane/spirit of the last one.

I hope someone quotes the first movie with a "You're one ugly mother ****er."

Not worried in the slightest after this trailer for two reasons:

1) Shane Black can write action movie dialogue unlike anyone else in Hollywood.
2) Shane Black can write action sequences unlike anyone else in Hollywood.

Hopefully, this early trailer is giving us none of that on purpose.

For what its worth theres more than C-listers in there. Olivia Munn, Sterling K Brown, and Keegan Michael Key.

Olivia Munn must have given some great couch because she has the appeal of dry toast.

Shane Black was a writer for Last Action Hero.

And since then, he's written The Long Kiss Goodnight, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys.

And the Last Action Hero had numerous problems much larger than the script (which he was one of four credited writers).

I'm in. Looks fun

I friigin love Predator. I'm so in.

I had a friggin' ball with this movie.

Crazy violent, hilariously profane, some of the snappiest dialogue.........it was a text book Shane Black movie. Hell, he even gave the Predator some good non-dialogue (the 'thumbs up' scene; you'll know it when you see it and it's hilarious).

About 3/4's of the way through the movie, I realized that "Group 2" (the bunch of f-ed up soldiers) was so much fun to watch that I wanted another full movie of just them. They are really some of Black's best-written characters and have such a seamless rapport. They make the movie so much fun.

The final showdown isn't quite up to the rest of the film, but it's a minor quibble.

Oh, and this movie is gleefully violent and drops more f-bombs than Deadpool. It's great.

i really enjoyed the hell out of it. Corny as all get out but it was fun.
