Yes. I actually did the exact same thing. Doesn't matter. 1&2 are all Pablo. 3 is the Cali Cartel after Pablo got killed. All the seasons are great for different reasons. 5 should be really good.

She's Shannon Doherty and Latoya Jackson's love child. But yes, super hot nonetheless.

Excellent season. Loved them all but each for different reasons.
Great to the beginnings of El Chapo- especially since his trial is in the news right now.

And dude who played Rafa was fantastic!

Yes, he was. Dressed cool. Felix was a great one too. Cool customer.

OK, hopefully this isn't a "spoiler" since I doubt this show will have a Season 18 or whatever, but I just read that Rafa was released from prison in 2013 on a "technicality" and a week later the US Govt got wind of it and immediately asked that he be brought up on new charges. He fled before they could get their hands on him, and it now one of the top 15 most wanted fugitives in the world and has a $20 million bounty on his capture.

After watching this it's pretty easy to see how El Chapo was able to escape prison.

Finally just finished it and thought it was another excellent season full of surprises, especially in the last episode.

Felix is one ruthless SOB.

Just finished this season last week. Wasn't sure going in since it no longer involved the Columbian cartels (or so I thought), but damn, this show just keeps delivering greatness every single season.

Disliked the Rafa character (shut up you whiny ***** and get over your first case of puppy love), but like a previous poster I absolutely loved that scene with him and Don Neto coked up and dancing to Culture Club. Possibly the best scene of the entire series.

And pretty sure Don Neto has become one of my favorite characters from the series.

Ok so help me out there... have not read anything here....

I just watched season 1 and 2... loved it. But Escobar is dead so.... I'm a little conflicted and I actually feel guilt about this but... I'm not sure I want to keep watching without him in it.

I feel like I'm almost a Columbian here in the way they supported him despite all he did (until near the very end anyway). It's not that I support him or what he did just as a viewer he was by far the most compelling thing to me. I loved the other performances too but that character enthralled me. I mean he was the ultimate villain really.

I know the cartels went on and there is much more story to tell I suppose. But I wanted to watch the Pablo Escobar series and I did. Felt more like a documentary or docudrama. And as much as they may have strayed from the real story with other characters they were very very true to Escobar and the things he did or was attributed to have done anyway. I feel like the story will become more and more fictional from here.

So is it worth it from that perspective - is it still mostly true to the real stories from here on out? Are the stories as compelling???

It's still worth watching. The newer seasons (including Narcos Mexico also on Netflix) follow other cartels and they're also good.

Unless you just really only care about Pablo. I was also very curious though but wasn't disappointed after he was gone.

I thought the same thing. But season 3 was awesome, and I stopped thinking that way anymore.

Keep watching. Season 3 is outstanding and follows chronologically the Columbian drug war after Escobar goes down and has a lot of tie ins with seasons 1 and 2 that way.

Then move right in to S4 Mexico. You may even see some familiar sites.

If y'all liked season 4, I'd definitely recommend watching "El Chapo" on Netflix. It's in Spanish but you can turn on subtitles. It's VERY good.

Just finished S4 and again the series is great. As I watched each episode I could not get enough.

Thoughts and spoilers of this season:

So I didn't know the story of the start of the Mexican cartel and agent Camarena so it was nice to watch this.

The writers for Narcos continues to deliver. I have liked all the seasons. The character who played Rafa was great because he made me hate him. I was waiting for him to die which I don't know if he does in the future. I like Neto and how they had 80s music in some scenes.

I was caught off guard with Felix with another women because they never showed him with one. Crazy how he leaves his family for the business. Isabella was nice to look at.

I like Michael Pena as a actor so was glad he was on this season. What happened to his character was a gut punch to me. Coming in not knowing the story I thought he would be in the next season. What hit me was in the last episode when his wife was talking to him and I was like yes he made it but she was dreaming. Also, I was shocked when they found him in the last episode.

I was wondering to for a while who was the narrator until I checked after I was done. They way it ended looks like it's going to be great with the DEA agents.
I want to find more of the story but will not look so I can watch the next season of Narcos.

Watch the Infiltrator with Bryan Cranston to get your Narcos fix. It's awesome.

In fact, they specifically talked about it in Narcos S1E1 (if I remember correctly). So it shouldn't have been a surprise. I do sorta envy people going into S4 who didn't know. That would have been a "plot twist" I probably wouldn't have guessed.

I figured a DEA agent would be tortured and killed but didn't expect it to happen in season 4. I thought they would have stretched it to season 5. Especially to a main character.

To echo another poster....I had similar thoughts after the end of Season 2, but Season 3 was awesome.

Season 3 follows the Cali Cartel and it is my favorite season of Narcos. I think I liked season 3 because there are very few movies/shows about the Cali Cartel.

I feel like ive watched a million documentaries about Pablo Escobar. The contrast to how the Cali Gangsters did business compared to Medellin made for an extremely compelling story line.

I thought the actors that played the Rodriguez brothers were fantastic. The Elder Rodriguez Brother is my favorite Gangster of this series.

Just finished season 4. What a great season! Man, that arrest scene with Neto on the beach. So crazy on many different levels! The directing on this show has been excellent. Very sad conclusion no doubt. Excited to see the upcoming season and where it goes.

Season 4 was a major letdown. These actors failed to capture the true essence of the capos. Joaquin Cosio playing Ernesto Carrillo came closest. And Camarena played by Michael Pea? Give me a break. It's like the show got lazy or didn't do their homework on these guys. They took too many artistic liberties as quite a few details are wrong or misrepresented. Such dynamics lost.

I like Narcos Mexico better than the first 3 seasons. Although I loved the first 3 seasons too. I think season 2 of Mexico has been the best of them all so far. Can't wait to see the story of the rise of El Chapo.

Don't know how I missed the Narcos series until recently. Just finished season 3 and thought is was clearly the best of the first 3. Salcedo's character was so compelling.

On a side note, Columbia is a university in NYC. Colombia is the country with all the hot latinas.
