Just finished. Really good season, ending surprised me. Nice lead in for next season too.

Cannot take Ken Cosgrove seriously as a DEA agent.

But the CIA ordering the death of a DEA agent and over watching his torture and death? That is a huge accusation.
I think a good measure of that is just the reality that they have exceptionally high quality material to work with. Compelling subject matter makes for great television in the right hands.Kellso said:
The greatness of this show is that it is not tied to one character. No Pena, No Escobar...no problem. Show keeps getting better
Wait until he and Don Neto hang out jumping around. That whole scene made me laugh way too hard.Urban Ag said:
I'm four episodes in and this Rafi character is easily one of the best in the whole series.
Felix did meet Escobar in episode 5 or 6. If you haven't watched it that far yet, and read this spoiler, then I apologize.Urban Ag said:
It's fairly accurate at least as to who the key players were and the major events.
I was really hoping they would have a cameo of Angel Felix or Chapo meeting Escobar as this is taking place in the same time period that the Guadalajara Cartel started doing business with the Medellin Cartel.
Yep! And a few other guys you'd recognize too.Urban Ag said:
oh hell yeah. I don't get all butthurt about spoilers. Is it the same guy that played him season 1 and 2?
I had the great experience of meeting Javi and Murphy a few months ago. They both said the episodes on Pablo were pretty true to life, but the real story was even more violent. An example they gave was Pablo was having a big party and one of the waiters spilled something. For entertainment they tied the waiters' feet and hands and threw him in the pool. People stood around drinking and watched him drown. Season 3 had Javi in it but in reality he was not involved in taking down the Cali cartel. Javi lives here in San Antonio.aTmAg said:
Anybody got a general idea of how well this adheres to true events? I don't know this story very well at all compared to the Escobar one. I'm afraid to look anything up because I don't want to spoil any of it for myself.

loved all cameos by Escobar and his henchman along with the Cali guys
Agree with this. I was wondering where in the hell that came from.Charlie Conway said:
This season felt more like a drama while the prior seasons for more like a dramatized documentary, probably because the lake of interjection by the narrator and historical video. I wasn't really feeling it through the first few episodes but bythe finale I couldn't get enough. I thought it was very well done.
My one complaint is Felix's infidelity really seemed to come out of nowhere. The whole season he appears faithful through his interactions with Isabella but then we are hit with all these women who he's apparently been seeing.
Yeah, this was outstanding tv. One of my top 3 on Netflix. Really well done.Cappo said:
I thought Mexico was great and probably better than season 3 with Cali.
I really am stoked for the new season based on this one and how it ended
