I loved every bit of it from season 1 on. Maybe it's just not for you.

Yeah season 1 wasn't great, but if you don't like it by season 3 it may not be for you.

It is lit-ter-lee the best show on TV. So glad you watched it

Absolutely do not skip 1. It's a short season and lays a lot of the foundation for the show. Watching the characters get comfortable with the ensemble as well as build our their arc is great in those episodes.

For me, it was already great at the point you are. You just don't like it and I wouldn't bother watching anymore

Didn't notice theye said they were told to skip season one. It may not be as good, but you definitely still watch it

Agree. It was definitely choppy but was a new show finding its footing.

I still say the scene in "Canvassing" where they walk in and Tom/April/Andy are just playing Rock Band instead of being out canvassing is still one of my favorite scenes. And my guess is it was around that moment of filming Chris Pratt where the decision was made that he needed to be a full cast member.

And if you don't watch S1 you'd never know about Punch Face Champions, Puppy Pendulum, Possum Pendulum, ***** Pendulum, Everything Rhymes with Orange and more.

To me, the series became infinitely better the second Rob Lowe and Adam Scott appeared.

Their addition cannot be praised enough.

Season 1 is better than any best season of 90% of tv shows in history.

Season one was the weakest season, but it's super short and sets up a ton of jokes later on. Watch it.

I was at a Christmas party and they had these minimalist Christmas trees on the dining room table. Basically a bunch of styrofoam cones painted red, green, silver or gold.
So naturally I asked if we were going to play Cones of Dunshire. Blank stares were all I received in response.

similar to The Office season one, they didnt really know how to write all the characters yet. Ron and Leslie both change for the better, similar to Michael Scott's change

Leslie went from an 8 to a manageable 5 or 6 on the annoying scale after season 1. Still annoying but at least had some redeeming qualities.

Parks and rec is our favorite show. We have probably binged through it 5 times now. I can't think of a show as good and as rewatchable. Maybe psych but that's about it for us.

I know I have found a true friend when I can reference Parks&rec and they automatically get it!

I will say again, Ron Swanson is my favorite character ever on TV.
Even if the rest of the show had stunk, I would have watched just for the Swanson moments.

Probably my all time favorite sitcom. It doesn't get much better than 5000 Candles in the Wind.

One of my favorite moments in the series is when Jerry put lighters fluid and blew Ron's eye brows and mustache off. I laughed for a good while at that scene.

"Oh no, Jerry. You're being too hard on yourself."
