The later seasons with the guy that yelled when he talked were odd, but Swanson always made me laugh.

Haaaate that guy and that character. Coincidentally, he plays the same character in everything I've seen him in.
I dunno.

He's pretty good in Stranger Things.
He was talking about Billy Eichner's character.

I watched Parks & Rec all the way through last year some time and found it okay with no desire to re-watch it.

In addition, I've never been able to make it through a single entire episode of Big Bang Theory. It is the classic, cheesy, set-it-up/knock-it-down humor that is tried to be passed off as 'smart' because most of the characters are dorks. It just isn't funny on any level.

I made it through about half of the pilot episode...hmm.

may have to give it a second shot.

One thing I forgot about in when the show really took off for me: the character of Mark left right before Chris and Ben appeared.

My God, Mark was a horrible character. Just horribly written and the actor put zero personality into him. He was just so bad.

But, the actor left the show and Rob Lowe and Adam Scott took his place and the show was 100x better.
I always felt they were going for the Jim Halpert type (The Office) with him and their line deliveries were similar but John Krasinski has way more personality.

working through the show all the way for the first time.

the season 1 hate is ridiculous. And even more ridiculous is the idea of "skipping" it. What the hell???

I laugh the whole season. Aziz and Chris Pratt are hilarious all season.

WASSUP? I'm Harris. I'm 33 years young. I have my cousin Jason's truck for two more weeks. I have one testicle (whack-a-mole accident), and I'm down to clown.

If someone who asked me if they should watch the show, I would tell them to start with season 2, go through the whole thing, and then go back to watch it again with season 1.

They made season 1 too much like the office, especially Leslie. However, watching season 1 after you watch the whole series makes you appreciate what they were doing in season 1 a whole lot more.

I remember not liking it at first in the early episodes. It definitely grew on me as it went along. Now it's one of my favorite shows

Season 1 is much better after you have seen the rest of the show. It was a false start of sorts that doesn't do well against the later seasons.

Season 1 is 6 twenty minute episodes. It's not hard to power-through.

For the life of me, I cannot understand ANYONE recommending or deciding to start ANY series (book, TV, Movie) anywhere other than from the first one. If there are prequels, then watch them in the order of release.

It gives me anxiety just thinking that people do this.

S3E1 is my favorite. I felt it took off from there and never came back.

And yes, Big Bang was cheap laughs with fancy words. Had a friend, who considers himself sophisticated, say that he didn't like Modern Family because it was slapstick, but BBT was smart. Yeah, MF only one of the best written shows since Arrested by playing the long game on jokes.

Are you implying you should watch the prequels first in Star Wars? Hell no.

If you like Big Bang theory you cannot be considered sophisticated in any meaning of the word.

Lol patag needs to work on reading comprehension. The guy said if there are prequels you watch it in the order of release.

I still quote Parks and Rec at least once a day after it premiered a decade ago. I deem it canon. You're obligated to watch and like it.
