Yeah, same schedule last year. They've got this down.Brian Earl Spilner said:
If Captain Marvel is still out in theaters (dollar theaters), one could do a triple feature of CM > Endgame > FFH in a single day.
That seems crazy to me.

I wonder how much say Marvel has in the matter? Sony desperately needs hits, and Spider-Man is their top property. I'm guessing Sony can technically release a Spider-Man movie whenever they want, and they clearly work with Marvel to a certain extent, but I'm sure their bottom line has to overrule whatever grand plans Feige has from time to time.

Far From Home is going to be extra huge following Endgame. Sony is licking their chops.
This is a situation that has never occurred in cinema before. Even the Harry Potter movies gave some breathing room between series (I am considering the Infinity Saga as a series).
For my part, I am 50/50 on whether I will see it in theaters at all or wait until it is on home video. But I am definitely passing on the opening week either way.

I don't understand the thought process behind not wanting to see this opening weekend. The first movie was great, he has been great in all his appearances as spiderman, and its the first movie going forward after End Game. I think this does huge numbers
i'd imagine it does considerably better than Ant-Man and the WaspHoustonAg2106 said:PatAg said:

It will probably do similar numbers to Ant Man and the Wasp after IW last summer

The more I think of it, the more I think that the Multiverse thing is BS. Or at least, saying "Multiverse" doesn't suddenly mean X-Men, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, etc.
First of all, that was just the plot of a film 6 months ago. Also, Mysterio is full of ****, right? Illusions and gas and tricks. Also, Feige recently said that it would probably be a while before we see the X-Men.
But most of all, it's been 3 years (to the day!) since Civil War released. Yes we've seen Spider-Man 4 times in that span, but I don't think they're at all going to start passing the torch. This could be a passing-the-torch from Iron Man to Spider-Man film, not a Spider-verse thing.
Also, Miles Morales could easily pop up because he survived the snap. He's 5 years older. He used to be young, and now he's suddenly a grade below Peter. Something like that.
Mysterio is probably full of it. And if he's not, he's still almost definitely the villain somehow. But even if there is a multiverse, I don't think it means what everyone will want it to mean. Just my two cents.

I like the idea of Mysterio playing everyone, although if everyone's already figured it out then that seems problematic... the only thing wrong with that scenario is how the hell would he be able to fool Nick Fury and Maria Hill as well as all of SHIELD or whatever is left of it?
