What if you found out Eddie Vedder didn't actually sing the songs? Would you still have the hard on for Pearl Jam that you have?
Actually MuckRaker dropped the mic. Cactus Jack simply spiked the watermelon sized ball that was set up for him.Ghost91 said:Cactus Jack said:I blame it on the rain.MuckRaker96 said:Gotta blame it on something.free_mhayden said:
And why people were upset?
Imagine finding out Garth Brooks wasn't actually singing. You think maybe his music would lose a fan or two?
People are fans of not just the music, but of (who they perceive to be) the artist. Hell, a lot of artists would sell a lot less music to the masses if it was widely known that a large % didn't actually write the song they were singing.
Mic drop, EOT, etc.

I participated in that Milli Vanilli lawsuit. I didn't care that they weren't singing, I just wanted free money.

I am shocked that somehow Rudy steered this thread into a reference of Pearl Jam?
It did. It happen to Mariah Carrey a year or two ago, and yes....it was all over social media.CJS4715 said:
Man, I completely forgot about Ashlee Simpson and this whole moment. Awesome. My only wish is that it would happen today; it would be incredible on current social media.

Are you talking about the Mark Wahlberg song?

Take it one tiny step further and you have milli vanilli. They are the stars meant for the stage. They just can't sing. They dance and do all the other **** people want to see, so someone else not only wrote the songs, but sang the songs too.
Neither can most pop stars. You have your exceptions like MJ or Bruno, but all the boy band crap? That dancing is weak and very dated, as was MV.91_Aggie said:62strat said:

You should look up their videos.
They are embarrassingly bad and they really couldnt dance.
If I could only have 2 albums to bring on a desert island with me, it would be C & C Music Factory - Make You Sweat and Ace of Base - Happy Nation.dave99ag said:
This was the same era that brought you C&C Music Factory and their lip-syncing.
Oh I'm mistaken, it's the C+C everybody dance now song posted here in this thread.Rudyjax said:

This thread bringing back the memories... C&C Music Factory was my first CD. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch was my second CD.
Just need Garth Brooks - No Fences and Genesis - We Can't Dance to round it out.
