Texas and California both have quite a few rural gunowners.

It would be impossible to make a movie about a Civil War in the United States without pissing one of the groups off. Perhaps they introduce some new reason why Texas and California are aligned.

I have to say, for what is supposed to be an "off" year due to the impact of the strikes, with every new 2024 trailer that drops I get more and more excited for what's to come. It won't be as financially successful as 2023 (or 2025 for that matter, which will be massive), but man, spring/early summer, at least, is looking to be a ton of fun.

Netflix only seems to be putting awards contenders in theaters on a regular basis, but even those get super limited runs. I really wish they'd change/expand that policy, though.

So we're already getting an Ocean's franchise prequel late next year, set in the '60s, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Danny (George Clooney) and Debbie (Sandra Bullock) Ocean's parents.

And now it sounds like we may very well be getting an Ocean's franchise sequel in either 2025 or 2026, that reunites the original gang (Clooney, Pitt, Damon, et al).

The only problem is, Danny Ocean was presumed dead at the end of Ocean's 8, when we see his sister (Bullock) visit his grave site. So either Ocean's 14 (or whatever it's going to be called) takes place before Ocean's 8 - or - Danny isn't really dead at the end of Ocean's 8 (my vote).

Either way, as much of a cash grab as a prequel and another sequel would be, at least they're doing them right, with big stars and the original cast. Honestly, I could never get tired of these movies.

Well, everyone in the original gang except Mac and Reiner. And I doubt Izzard is reprising their role.

Ha, initially I wasn't a huge fan either, but I caught a good chunk of it again on cable a few months ago and it wasn't bad at all. Once you let go of expecting any kind of Soderbergh wit or charm, it's harmless enough, and, for the most part, does what it sets out to do.
