And I just started watching it a few weeks ago. I don't know how I slept on it so long. It's damn good. I'm almost at the end. Just finished the 3rd episode of season 5. Favorite so far was season 4.

Feel free to post spoilers for all seasons in here as I won't be back in this thread until I'm done binging.

Watch it again. I've seen it 3 times now, and I get something new out of each watch. The only show I have watched more is Breaking Bad.

It seems that it is the show that David Simon was born to create. His background and experience were prefect for it. Nothing else he has done has come close, IMO.

Just finished.

Wow.

So many thoughts. I loved the finale. Went into the last two episodes with a ball in my stomach, but they wrapped it up beautifully. Showing how nothing ever changes. Loved it all.

No doubt!

I actually do think it was kind of amazing. With two words, said over and over, with different inflections and tone, the viewer knows exactly what's going through their mind as they essentially solve a murder case.

Wow....

I've seen the series through at least 3 times, I'm on record saying it's my favorites series of all time (a lot of the reason being that it did stuff like this video shows), I've seen several of the seasons more than 3 times.....and I had never noticed that before.

Anybody remember the very brief scene inside a gay bar and when one of the dudes at the bar looks up it was one of the hard ass cops from HQ that was always busting balls.

That plot twist never came into play as I recall. It was a chekovs gun kinda deal. Something the writers threw in there to **** with the viewer.

Cant remember the characters name. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yes.

Brother Mouzone sent one of his crew into a gay bar to find Dante because he is searching for Omar.

When they show the inside of the gay bar, you can see William Rawls sitting at the bar.

It's ironic when you consider Jay Landsman's graphic description of jerking off his '4.5 inch wonder' while trying to save McNulty's position in S1.

Given how openly homophobic several of the cops are, it is a good bet they don't know of Rawls' preference.
