Did you know Glenn Close was one of the pirates in the movie Hook?
I always thought that was David Crosby! Didn't know he was officially in it though.C@LAg said:yes. as were Jimmy Buffet and David CrosbyIce99 said:

I think I knew that was Close when I saw it the first time back in 1991.C@LAg said:yes. as were Jimmy Buffet and David CrosbyIce99 said:

Would have enjoyed the movie a lot more had they opted to not have the Tinkerbell is in love with Peter aspect.
Nope. I might be an outlier (I'm 36) but I've always hated this movie. As a girl in the 80s/90s, nothing about Hook interested me. Same goes for many of the movies mentioned in the Best of the 80s thread. For me, alll the female characters are awful and I don't relate to the wistfulness of the Lost Boys. That doesn't make it a bad movie, just not for everyone.PatAg said:
I imagine anyone who is between the ages of 25-40 loves this movie, and its a toss up outside of that age range.
They're the couple on the bridge in London who begin to float after getting sprinkled with pixie dust. Carrie also helped punch up the scriptCinco Ranch Aggie said:I think I knew that was Close when I saw it the first time back in 1991.C@LAg said:yes. as were Jimmy Buffet and David CrosbyIce99 said:

But 28 years later, a movie that I have seen many times since 1991, and I'm just now learning that Lucas and Fisher had cameos. Wow. Might just have to watch again to see if I can spot them. Are they on Hook's ship or in the town?
Thanks. I agree, this movie was great. It was one of those movies that Spielberg was consistently rumored to be making when I was in high school in the early to mid 80s, and then it finally came out after I graduated from A&M at the end of the decade of the 1980s. Loved every moment of it. To this day I keep the score as one of the most listened to on my iTunes account.Ag Since 83 said:They're the couple on the bridge in London who begin to float after getting sprinkled with pixie dust.
