Age 10 - 1972 - The Poseidon Adventure - saw this in the theater and DAMN it was great. the Godfather came out same year but I did not see it in theater. Since there was no cable, VHS, DVD, etc. back in the day, I didn't see it until many years later.

Age 18 - 1980 - Caddyshack - Still the funniest movie ever made imho.

Age 22 - 1984 - The Terminator - Arnold wasn't a huge name yet and the movie opened without much fanfare. I saw it opening weekend and LOVED it.

I saw this one this one at the old theater in Bryan. I can't remember the name, it might have been the Shulman 6. Anyway, the clientele offered a running commentary during the movie and tried to warn the characters on the screen of their impending dooms. I had an absolute ball and seriously considered giving the management more money just to pay for the added entertainment.

Lady and the Tramp re-release. Just shows how few movies catered to kids back then. Reviewing the list there was plenty of adult fare such as Fritz the Cat, Behind the Green Door and Deep Throat. And then Godfather, Last Picture Show, Last House on the Left and Clockwork Orange and Dirty Harry.

History of the World, Part I - starting with Blazing Saddles at the drive-in theater, became a huge Mel Brooks fan. Saw a lot of the above referenced adult movies at the drive-in too, but without sound as we watched on our bikes outside the walls.

This is Spinal Tap - went to few movies in college years, but saw this one in Rudder.

Guess I'm just a young buck. Also, I can't just choose one for each.

1999/2000 - The Mummy/Gladiator/O Brother Where Art Thou

2007/2008 - The Dark Knight/300/Hot Fuzz/Superbad

2011/2012 -The Dark Knight Rises/Skyfall/The Avengers

1994 (Age 10): Speed- the first R rated movie I ever saw also happened to be an absolute classic.

2002 (Age 18): LOTR The Two Towers- I fell in love with Fellowship of the Ring the year before and this film only reinforced my fandom.

2006-The Departed or Pan's Labyrinth- it's hard to choose between these two, so I cheated. Both are clear classics that further contributed to my love or film.

I very specifically remember my parents and brother going to see Gladiator (I was 12), and I didn't want to see it. (I just was not into period epics at that age.)

So I went to another movie while they watched it. Can't remember what I saw, but based on what I see in the release calendar, is was probably MI-2. (I was REALLY into that movie and that soundtrack.)

I switched to their theater when my movie was over, and I still caught the last 40 minutes or so.

I just find it ironic, because that is now one of my favorites movies of all time, and I regret doing that to this day.

Age 13, went with some friends to the movies (chase *****), bought a ticket for Nutty Professor II, walked in and went to a different theater showing The Patriot, after about 5 minutes in, my friends leave so I follow them into another theater, showing Gladiator. After about 30 minutes, my friends leave, but I stayed, as I got really into the movie.

Little did I know, it was a 3hr movie and ended around 1am. Luckily, a friend of my older sister was there too, so I was able to bum a ride home.

The Patriot and Gladiator are in my all-time, while I never did see Nutty Professor II...

To get my choices: Change Speed to Lion King and Scratch off Pan's Labyrinth.

Yeah, I couldn't decide between The Lion King or Speed either, but thought the first R-Rated movie o ever saw thing pushed it over.

10 (1987) - Robocop. Somehow convinced my mom to take me. She wasn't pleased after...but it broke the R-rated barrier forever as I could always say that whatever wouldn't be as bad as Robocop.

18 (1995) - Braveheart. Lost count how many times I watched this movie during my senior year in HS and freshman year of college

22 (1999) - Tough one...but I'll go with Fight Club.

Major League - GOAT sports movie. Seeing at age 10 was a game changer

There's Something About Mary - I've never seen a full theater explode with laughter this much in one scene

Austin Powers: Goldmember - weak year for movies

I was 10 when Something About Mary came out.

I distinctly remember being confused at "the scene", and not understanding it, but man did I love that movie. One of the funniest movies of all time.
