I didn't know about it but my reaction was about an hour of stunned silence. I yelled at climactic scene in Mountain v. Viper, followed by a lot of cussing about how he had it.

There is only one time I remember giving a loud, audible reaction, because I immediately recognized that I never do that.

Not gore, but I was one of those people who got fooled by the end of the last Sopranos episode, thinking the cable had dropped at the worst possible moment, leading to a brief stream of profanity before the credits started to roll.

May 2007. Watching the final moment of the Lost season three finale. When Kate walks out from the shadows, approaches bearded Jack, and it's revealed that the flashbacks that episode were actually flash-forwards; that Jack & co had already made it off the island. I, and a few other friends, screamed "WHAT???!!!" at the TV and each other for a solid 30 seconds after that happened. Nothing - not the twist in The Sixth Sense, or any other major reveal in any other movie or show - has blown my mind as much the end of that episode. Still the greatest all-around episode of television I've ever seen, too.

I dunno, I don't think so to be honest. He seemed invincible (which is maybe why it was so effective how he went out)... I think it was just because how random it was and the fact he was probably my favorite tv character ever.

It wasn't like it was some epic showdown between him and Stringer or a prolonged shootout. Just completely out of nowhere... and then you see who freaking did it.
