This one got me too, and also the season 5 finale when it's revealed what is in the box. If you've been watching from the beginning, so many things click into place at exactly that moment and you know just what is coming next. Perfectly done.TCTTS said:
May 2007. Watching the final moment of the Lost season three finale. When Kate walks out from the shadows, approaches bearded Jack, and it's revealed that the flashbacks that episode were actually flash-forwards; that Jack & co had already made it off the island. I, and a few other friends, screamed "WHAT???!!!" at the TV and each other for a solid 30 seconds after that happened. Nothing - not the twist in The Sixth Sense, or any other major reveal in any other movie or show - has blown my mind as much the end of that episode. Still the greatest all-around episode of television I've ever seen, too.
The scene with Stan is obviously imho the apex of the whole series. But you knew that was coming - it had to. This scene though was the one I screamed NOOOOOO and my wife came from the next room and asked what was wrong.Trident 88 said:That scene < the scene where Stan the FBI man confronts the Jennings in the parking garage.wbt5845 said:
Aside from gore or pure shock value stuff.
The one time I literally SCREAMED at the TV during a scene.
And then, he can't bring himself to do anything but let them go. The combination of betrayal and love together are just too overwhelming for Stan.
Aside from the Red Wedding and the infamous scene in Saving Private Ryan where one soldier's cowardice led another soldier's slow death, it's hard to think of another scene that just force feeds you so much sadness at one time.
This was my first thought upon reading the thread title. I'll also add the act of coitus that Jaime and Cersei were engaged in right before Bran got pushed, definitely blurted out "WTF??? That's your sister!!!"Bruce Almighty said:

A) It's weird seeing him talk like a normal human back then. Or, rather, a normal human assh*le.
B) So many blast from the past handles in that thread.
