Will GoT win everything as a farewell to the series, or will the fan backlash hurt its chances?

Personally I'd love to see Chernobyl clean up in the miniseries categories. And Barry for best comedy series would be cool.

I'm really not sure about best drama. I do feel like GoT is the best bet, but I wouldn't mind seeing Succession win.

The acting categories are a tough call.

Peter Dinklage is always the favorite but I do wonder if he really deserves it for this season. Maybe they'll give it to Nikolai.

Similarly for Lena Headey. This is her least prominent season but it's a last chance for a long overdue win.

Alfie Allen was pretty great. Though there's really no buzz for him whatsoever, which kinda sucks. HBO didn't even submit him for a nomination. (He had to submit himself. Same with Christie.)

It's actually kind of a bummer that Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and/or Lena Headey will never win for GoT.

Whichever of them wins it is well deserved.

Also Alfie Allen deserved to be up there with the GoT cast.

The funny commentary is a total flop. Would be better to just give some history or context.

It's the worst. Also kind of insulting to these people experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Agreed. I thought When They See Us was fantastic, but that kid big time overacted in that role. Literally everyone else in that category was more deserving.

The person could very well normally be funny, but the commentary was a horrible idea and its not working. They should just stop doing it and cut their losses

John Oliver is going to win the outstanding variety talk show series category every year until the end of time like Jon Stewart.

Honestly it does not get old seeing Dinklage win.

Corden is entertaining and caters well for a millennial audience. Conan recently changed his talk show format to a point that it's not in the same category anymore.

His international shows are f'in fantastic.

I like Ozark but Garner winning it over all the GoT nominees is pretty ridiculous.

No directing award to any of the GoT directors.

I feel like all these double and triple nominations in many categories are really working against GoT.

They probably should've just submitted Sapochnik.
