I hope Better Call Saul start winning Emmys in Drama now that GoT reign is over after tonight.

GoT with the big prize.
This was a big shocker for me but I'm not mad at it. She's pretty damn amazing in that show. Still shocking considering how much the GoT cast was expected.Brian Earl Spilner said:
I like Ozark but Garner winning it over all the GoT nominees is pretty ridiculous.
To me this was pretty ridiculous. I like Ozark, but I don't see how that's a more impressive directing job than any number of the GoT episodes.Olsen said:
No directing award to any of the GoT directors.
I enjoyed GoT last season more than most people, but for me Better Call Saul is absolutely the best show on TV and the fact that it can't win is ridiculous.Olsen said:

I liked GoT last season too, but I'm happy the director of that super dark night battle episode didn't win. I would have been happy with any of the other GoT nominees winning.MBAR said:I enjoyed GoT last season more than most people, but for me Better Call Saul is absolutely the best show on TV and the fact that it can't win is ridiculous.Olsen said:

My guess is they split the votes among the 3 GoT episodes.MBAR said:To me this was pretty ridiculous. I like Ozark, but I don't see how that's a more impressive directing job than any number of the GoT episodes.Olsen said:

And then for GoT to win best drama when it clearly was not. WTF.

It's actually kind of a bummer that Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, and/or Lena Headey will never win for GoT.
Whichever of them wins it is well deserved.

Try none of them

Back on a Sunday and hence up against the Rams-Cleveland Browns matchup on NBC's Sunday Night Football, TV's biggest night had its worst night ever. The 5.7/10 in metered market results for the Emmys is the lowest rating the annual ceremony has achieved in early metrics coming off successive years of new lows in an age of endangered awards shows.
