How does knowledge of spoilers from books impact your film enjoyment? For example, those of you who read Harry Potter, do you think that you would have enjoyed the movies more without prior knowledge of events?

More often than not, I would say seeing spoilers has been my own fault. Sure, sometimes there's an ******* out there that just wants to be an ******* and drop spoilers, but i've spoiled more movies/TV shows for myself just by poking around internet forums and Wikipedia articles that i knew i probably shouldn't have..

Spoliers don't really bother me and I don't go out of my way to avoid them. There are some movies where it's been interesting to be caught completely off guard, but I don't really feel bad when I know ahead of time that a major plot twist or something is coming. I had no problems enjoying the LOTR movies even though I'm very familiar with the books and the same goes for GoT or The Expanse. The Expanse has been a great watch and they've made som really good deviations from the books, but not in a way that I don't know what's coming. Some shows I watch on a regular basis I have no problems reading about an episode before I've watched it as it doesn't seem to impact my feelings towards the experience. Maybe I'm familiar with the characters, story, etc. and so getting a sneak preview really doesn't impact the pleasure I get from watching. Everyone's different, though, and I won't ever post spoilers myself as much as I won't whine about being exposed to spoilers as that would generally be my own damn fault anyways.
