You know you've got a problem with inappropriate touching when you can't stop doing it even after being made aware that cameras will be filming you 24/7 and your actions will be broadcast on network TV and seen by millions of people including everyone you know,

Or even they are discussing your inappropriate touching and you touch someone to show how you touched them.

Did the incident that led to Dan's departure occur before or after Elaine's tribal?

I wonder what they would have done if this had happened even later in the game, like FInal 3 or 4?

I thought Dan was much more accomplished than the old "sorry, I lost my balance and groped your boobs" routine.

Is it just me, or does Dan look a little like Harvey Weinstein?

Perhaps the story on Dan is BS:

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/survivor-dan-spilo-inappropriate-touching-incident-jeff-varner-slams-cbs-pretaped-reunion

Quote:

"I've talked to cast members. I know what happened that got him removed and I'm telling you, 100% horse s--t," he wrote. "The cast has rallied behind Dan and few to no one is behind Kellee [Kim]."

In the angry Facebook rant, he claimed the reunion is being pre-taped because "cast members plan to publicly support Dan and call out producers."

"Can't have that on a live mic," he added. "Ugh

My posting record speaks for my political leanings (Conservative to quite conservative), but you just know exactly this is where FoxNews would land on this.

Varner, who is best known for outing a contestant at tribal, that Varner? The one with zero credibility? Lolz

How does outing somebody on survivor make him have no credibility?

And what good reason can you think of that CBS would pretape the finale?

The fact that you would ask the first question is truly troubling.
The second question shows lots of general naivete.

It is finally finale night. I think I can speak for a lot of people in saying I'm glad this season will finally be over with. Unless something dramatic happens tonight, this season will go down in the bottom ten of Survivor seasons for me.

Dean should've flexed, played the nullifier, then played his other idol for Janet and voted out Lauren.

Also, thanks to the impeachment, any of the SJW stuff in this finale seems a lot more tolerable by comparison.

Dean's screwup was telling a lie at the final tribal and getting caught. He had it in the bag until then.

So there were 20 contestants, and only 17 at the finale. There were two who weren't going to be there (Dan and someone Jeff said couldn't be there), but who was the third?

Holy ****, I hope next season lives up to the billing. I'm not going to spoil it in case people haven't seen what it is.

Dammit!

After this season being so preachy and last season rewarding the winner to someone who was in the game for 5 days, I was about ready to call it quits on Survivor.

And the worst part is what Dean got called out on was bull crap, he just responded poorly.

In tribal Dean said he wouldn't make a final deal with someone unless he meant it. He got called out for saying he made a final deal with swimmer girl. There was nothing wrong with what he said in my opinion, he just didn't respond appropriately during the rain storm by saying I meant my deal with her and I didn't vote her out. I did not make a deal with you, you, you and you because I would not have meant those deals.

I also think he blew it with his ethics answer, that's was awkward and I think many people were surprised he had not thought about ethics and lines he wouldn't cross going into a game where you are filmed 24/7.

Season 40 looks strong. I am very interested in the token concept of purchasing things.

Also, Boston rob and his wife are gonna have a huge target on their backs because they are a known duo. No way around it, use them for numbers short term, but don't let them go too deep as a couple. They can be a shield, but they are at a huge disadvantage.

If they cast is smart you vote out Sandra first as she has already won twice (2 mil) don't let her hang around til the end like she did the last 2 times she played.

Sandra has played 3 times and didn't even make the merge the last time she played. I think she is the most overrated player ever. Her last victory was only because she was dragged to the end by Russel who was too big of an A-hole to ever win over a jury. Every big move she tried on her own failed miserably.

I think Boston Rob is the best player ever. But agsquirrel97 is right. He and his wife are going to have a huge target on their back. I assume they will start out on opposite tribes.

Edge of Extinction will be back. Apparently it was necessary because none of the winners wanted to come out and immediately be voted out without having another shot at getting back in the game.

Quote:

Edge of Extinction is returning for season 40. Why did you all decide to bring that twist back for this installment?
Ah yes, the Edge. Full disclosure: Nearly every single winner asked how we could ensure they would have a legitimate shot at winning. So we just said let's do a second chance season. We'll tell everyone upfront that they know they'll have at least one more shot to get back in the game. And the other reason we liked the idea is because this is not only an all-winners season, this is also 20 of the most popular Survivors of all time. Watching them try to survive on Extinction will be fun. And make no mistake, they will have to work their butts off for anything they get.

So who won this travesty of a season?

EoE should be handled like Top Chef's last chance kitchen - an additional 10-15 minutes of footage that is available online only.

I could not agree more re Sandra. Seeing her at the reunion show wearing her tiara made me sick. She's been in the right place at the right time twice - nothing more. But she carries herself like she "owns the game".

As far as last night:
I was pulling for Dean last night over Tommy. Dean had the better resume.
Good to see Noura didn't get a single vote.
I could have done without the Kellee / Probst segment. Was that something their legal counsel advised the show to do to limit liability? F Kellee.

Regarding redemption island... I don't have much of a problem if the contestants all agreed to it ahead of time. What sucked about last time was that it was sorta secret. And he people who have been busting their butts were surprised that a bunch of people were able to skip out on game play for much of the season.

Frankly I completely forget her 1st season. Wouldn't surprise me if she skated that time too.

I would say that Edge of Extinction was a better concept than Redemption Island. I think it could work if they tweak it a little. Maybe make the last opportunity to return be at the merge or at top 8 or something. I didn't like the last time how one person was able to swoop in at the very end, reenter the game, and win it.

I agree Boston Rob and his wife will be dangerous as well. I just remember the seasons that Sandra won she was annoying as hell and like mentioned above, won for doing nothing but skating until the end.

This is why I never understand why they take 3 people to finale night, most of the time the vote is 6-4-0, 7-3-0, or like last night 8-2-0. Every time the 3rd person gets 0 votes so what is the point of them sitting there or on jury to be a voting member of the jury, every season it really only comes down to 2 people that should be sitting there and the 3rd one being a floater or just brought along because there is 3. Big Brother only does 2 and it works out just fine why not do the same here.

One of our neighbors got selected for Survivor a few years ago. After reading the, "Contract", she decided to opt out. She was a huge fan, but said the the contract rules dictated that a contestant has absolutely no rights or say in any matter whether the facts are true or "part of the show".

We still like Survival but spend more time trying to ferret out the B.S.

Used to be fun watching them suffer and get skinny, but now they get fed all the time and some of them actually looked like they gained weight.

Boston Rob, His Wife, Sandra and Parvati are toast next season!

The bigger factor was the winner was with the jury the whole time, and only had to compete against the jury once. It's a huge advantage.
