For any of you considering buying one of these things, I will tell you what a good friend and collector told me..."you will always want one more".
So true. When I was in Las Vegas and went to the Pinball Hall of Fame (awesome place), Tim Arnold asked me how many machines I had.
I told him that I only had two (Gotlieb 'Paradise' (1965) and Williams 'Dealers Choice' (1974)), and he said I was smart, as it can become an obsession.
If you're ever in Vegas and get bored with all the usual stuff (like I do), go by there and play his machines. He's got 200 pins that he keeps in great shape, and I recently heard he bought some land on the south Strip to build a new building where he plans to have 1,000 machines! Apparently, he keeps over 800 machines at his house!

I've always preferred a tight, fast-play electro-mechanical machine. That may be because those were the machines from my youth when I was hitting the bowling alleys, bus stations and dime stores to play them.
